I've yet to work with any recon stone, but the more I see it on knives from everyone here, the more I want to try it out. Looks like some serious filework on those babies, I'd love to get a look at that

Thanks! Recon is nice to work with and polishes up real good. These are a work in progress.I went back and added black spacers on the red knife and added a stag with mosaic pins.

Thanks guys! I got the other stag one done and shipped 5 off.I have another 5 to do.I'll try to post a pic of those also.I'm thinking blood jasper and white turquoise, maybe a sliver of blue.Red,white ,and blue seems to always be a winner.Ivory also, but it's pricey.I can only do 2 alike. Also will change the filework up a little.Ideas are welcome.

Nice work! I like Masecraft for recon. It ends up cheaper - you pay by the oz. or LB - I forget

Also you can have them cut it 1/8 or 3/16 thick. They just cut it off a brick to ordered size and ship it.
http://www.masecraftsupply.com/html/recon_stones.html a lot of recon to choose from.

Masecraft is my supplier.I usually get the 3/16" thick and the slabs are around 8-10" long X 3" or so.Chris and Phil are good dudes.I like to trade with Jantz also.If you catch him at a show you can get some great deals.Tulsa is coming right up and he will be there!
