Some people in their ignorance do more damage to a knife, than actually helping it. :x

I don't know. He said the tang stamp, but may not know one from the other. That must be some damn strong solvent.::shrug::

may have never had a stamp while it was in his possesion and cooked up the story to pass it as a winchester.
