Another Unique Tool From Camillus Cutlery

Last month I posted pictures of a cutler's stiddy that was sent to me by Wallace Rockwell, who worked for Camillus and is a friend of Tom Williams (CAMCO). In addition to the stiddy he also sent me another unique tool that they used for making/repairing knives at Camillus Cutlery.
This tool, as with the stiddy, was made in the Camillus factory and used there. Tom calls this tool a "knife vise." I suppose that term works, but what it really does is compress the backsprings of a slipjoint to make reassembly a breeze.
Tom said that at Camillus each knife vise was covered with white tape. The purpose of the white tape is to prevent the metal from scratching the knife. The one I received came sans the white tape.
For those who are interested to know more about this unique tool, I will post a tutorial on the use of the tool in the Knife Creation, Modification, And Restoration Forums. I hope to have it on there Thursday.
