Thanks Mel! Yours is a fantastic shot! Not to mention that I'm a huge fan of the Sharpfinger pattern.
Cool damp day on the walk today. Think I'm going to have to give the Magnificent Muttface a bath this evening.

Cae XX 06247PEN. This light shows the patina well.

Thanks Ivoryman. That is quick release snap. We always called them panic snaps and used them on tie ropes in horse trailers. I have seen them on a length of rope hanging on motorcycle handle bars. I am told the bikers call them “get back” whips. The snap is heavy and would make an effective swinging weapon.

Thanks for the kind words, fellows!
Very nice photos, Charlie. Great background for those two knives.
I like patina, Jtx, and that Case has plenty! Good photo.

Very nice! What is the background? Looks like a piece of marble or a tile.
I experimented with different backgrounds today: two bandanas and a board. Feedback on them is most welcomed and appreciated.

Dan, in the first photo I like the smoothness of the knife covers against the texture of the wood.
In the 2nd photo, I found setting the knife on top of the large Case lettering to be distracting, cluttered. I think you recognized this also and adjusted the third photo by moving the Case name off-center allowing the knife to be the center of attention.

Thanks Ivoryman and Doglegg.
JTX, absolutely love that Case XX, such a nice patina!

Also, I like your peanut on the board best and the red bandana next, not so much the orange.
I like finding pieces of wood with odd and interesting grain or trees with gnarly bark and burls for photo backgrounds.
This from today's walk with my canine muscle missile......he still hasn't caught a squirrel.

Actually, that was far from my mind. The bandanas just so happened to be folded into squares. So I just centered the knife on each bandana, focused, and snapped the photos. A different piece of fabric could work, so I'll see what I can find. Maybe even a nice piece of leather would work? Thanks for the feedback!

Nice Case photos, Dan.
Charlie, that is a great photo. The two kinds of bark and the ivy leaves make a perfect frame for that very nice knife!

Dan, you guessed right... that is an old piece of marble. Your photos are very nice. I like all of them.

Thanks, Jtx! I have some old granite laying around, so I might try that as a background. Being that it's dark (either black or a very dark gray), the results could be interesting.
