Read your comment Tony, just had to check it out. Scott's spot is 267 miles north of you and that sweet spot is 307 miles south of our place. I guess that puts him almost in the middle as far as Floridians go. ::hmm::

It's about a million miles from me.____Dave

Finally! Went to the Red Barn and the Cloverdale Swap and got followed home by an Ecco gents, gold plated, this George W two blade and a couple of old German fixed. Yay!
Excuse the paint, I grabbed the pic but haven’t finished cleaning it.

Great bunch of knives, Miss Ann. ::tu::
The 2 blade you called a George W caught my eye. Does the W stand for Wostenholm?

We went to the local antique mall to day for the first time in months. Found 2 knives and a vinegar cruet that we wanted. Ended up having to buy 2 other knives in order to get a "good" price on the 2 that are still good enough for EDC.
Oops, forgot the cruet!
Oops, forgot the cruet!
The top is a slap-dab worn out Robeson 6227??
Next is another worn out HSB OVB Barlow, a 9701.
3rd knife is a long line Camillus 35, love the swedge on the clip bade!
The other user is a Ka bar 1030 Trapper. It should clean up pretty good.
Felt good to get out and ramble a little bit after going to the dentist this morning. :)
Cleaning up the 2 trappers should keep me out of trouble on a rainy day.

I bought 18 more of my late friend Dave's knives from the antique shop. These are some I had to pass on last time when the pile got too big for my check book. The big coke is a Lakeside. The slot knife is a Union cut. The old stag is a Case Tested but I'm sure the stag is replaced. The small coke is an old Winchester, the heavy ebony jack is a J.T.Mount. They are all good names except for the big Parker hunter and the yellow Winchester is from 1989. The gave me 25% off the pile.____Dave

Great score Dave! Those prices are pretty decent compared to some of the ones I usually find around here... + $25 off , now that's even better!
It was nice that you reclaimed your late friends treasured knives ::tu::

Speaking of outings, I tagged along with the wife and her parents on a trip to Salado. The whole day spent going from shop to shop letting the women folk do their thing. While looking at one of the antique shops I stumbled upon this little treasure tucked away in a display case with some vintage jewelry....
I had a heck of a time trying to find someone to come over to open it up so I could get my hands on it. This little jewel made my whole day ! ::groove::
