Smitty, both have different tang stamps.
Both do NOT have "63" on them.
Here is the other black handle "63" and
the two tang stamps for comparison.

Great Question Smitty !
Thanks for showing the different stamps Skip.
So you have 12 Ulster 63 s, if you don’t mind, how many variations do you have in those 12 ?
Thanks Guys, the list grows it seems !!

Great.....
Thank you JP.

It's been awhile since I posted group pictures.
I'll post up-to-date group pictures of the ULSTER
"63s" a little later today. You'll see ALL the variations.

Ok, here we go. These are my twelve ULSTER 63's (so far). They are broken up into three groups, with four
63's in each group. Divided between the twelve 63's, there are five different tang stamps or tang stamp combinations.
Neither the pocket knives nor the tang stamps are in any particular order. No matter how they may look in the
pictures, there are ONLY TWO 63's with black handles. Two are missing their shields and the two with black handles have no shields by design. Don't know much about the ULSTER "9630." It isn't any different than the ULSTER 63's. ALL of these 63's are pictured throughout this topic/thread. The captions are on the BOTTOM of each corresponding picture.

I am well pleased with my Powerkraft 84-11. A flea market find, the main blade was a bit rusty. I cleaned it a little bit, oiled the joints and buffed the bolsters with Mothers and we have another 72 wannabe.

Today these six pocket knives joined my CAMILLUS 72 variations/clones collection. They are ALL REMINGTON R14, 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "whittler" pocket knives. ALL six R14's have the same main blade etch, "TEPPCO" along with a logo. The four R14's with the black handles have "Remington USA" etched on the tang of the main blade. There is NO pattern # on any of those four. Both of the other two R14's have the circle "Remington MADE IN USA" tang stamp on one side of the main blade and the R14 tang stamp on the other side. ALL six R14's are in NEAR MINT condition. No cleaning was necessary at all. I took some pictures and here they are.

Today this pocket knife becomes the latest addition to my CAMILLUS 72 variation/clone collection. It is a BOKER U.S.A., 3 blade, swelled center, 3 5/8" closed, "TREE BRAND", Salesman Sample, "whittler" pocket knife. This is my first and only, so far, salesman sample pocket knife. It is in NEAR MINT condition and required no cleaning at all. The only thing that I did to it, was wipe off the drool. I took some pictures and here it is.
