Tom! Your pictures are spectacular, but I'm afraid I have to call you out on the Egyptian coin, it looks much more like an old dirty metal washer to me, would you care to revise your story sir? lol! I love the knives propped up on top of the plaque, I love the wide-open spaces, I love the pups, I love the single tree way out in the middle of nowhere, I told you I'd get a buzz from reading about and viewing your adventures! 8)

Oh! What did he get? Quail hunting is my first love. That’s all we did growing up, back when there were still some quail.

Dad always liked to hunt an English Pointer and an English Setter together. Me, I was always partial to the setters myself. And some good droppers we had over the years (pointer and setter crossed).

We need pics and details man!

Out here in the northern Wisconsin woods trying to follow in the Ripster's footsteps and procure some venison for the winter ahead. No luck yet...

Mike, you look like y’all might be cold! ::shrug::
This ol’ Florida redneck can’t imagine that kind of weather.
Ripster busted a good one, hope you can save one from having to spend all winter in the snow, too! :)

It’s been raining and in the lows 40’s high 30’s around here today and my wife says it’s uninhabitable weather. She stands firm it shouldn’t feel like this in Texas.

gdogg,
Y'all look like you know what you're doing! I haven't hunted with a group of friends in years, it was always a pleasant experience back in the day.
Lookin' at the griddle, looks like the backstap has been consumed, most of the heart is gone but most of the dogs are still there! ::hmm::
Fine lookin' old 6265 in the picture too. ::tu::

Great pics Garddog, hot food outside on a cold day, gotta love it.
Last week was a snowy one in our neck of the woods, unfortunately my week long bow hunt ended without a deer. But still had a great week off the grid.

Mike,
I need to get one of those “deer crossing” signs and put it down in the woods by my shooting house. How long does it take for the deer to start using it? Maybe a little corn would get their attention and they would notice the sign. ::shrug:: :)
Sorry you didn’t get one with the bow. When is your gun season?

Good Morning. I was in the neighborhood and thought I would drop in and leave a note wishing all a very happy Thanksgiving. Now, I'll put on the coffee and enjoy it while it is fresh. Peace & Health to all.
