Pawn shop knife procurement!!
Great scores! What I like best is the wood handled SOG, the stag hunters, and of course, the BuckLites. Same goes for the Schrade Firebird and 442 BuckLite. I have one made in my birth year, but it's too banged up. If that one's got a clip, I may be interested; as well as in the Craftsman Schrade.
The ST300 is a heavy-duty tool; great for industrial and farm work. I prefer the Rebar but carried my ST300 today just for the heck of it. This is the sheath I use with my Super Tool 300 should use to decide to use it. The stock one is pretty bad, and while leather is nice, it offers no extra pockets or slots for accessories--and I'm always carrying a small pry bar as well as their "Removable Bit Adapter" and maybe a small flashlight with it. While designed for MOLLE (and my military surplus backpack was originally what I bought it for), this one (unlike the stock sheath, which was MOLLE too; which at the time, I did not want) will fit a standard belt if you skip the middle two loops in the sheath.
I will fess up and say I got my adapter and sheath secondhand but not used, along with a Gerber MP400 for less than each item cost.

Removable Bit Adapter. Will fit standard 1/4 bits. I can't stand LM bits, but keep a selection of Torx and hex on the holder from the larger bit set just in case I can't find the right screwdriver.

Scott, that Uncle Henry filet knife is a good one! You better save it for your grand boys and them bass they catch every now and then.

Came across this Anton Wingen last week. Don’t know anything about their folders. I liked the bone and first time I have seen a folder by him. Any ideas when they might have made their folders? Excellent snap and half stops. Thanks for looking.

Here is a batch that showed up at my table at a recent show. Some decent knives in the group.

Ray, what's the problem with the bolster on that Case Trapper - right side, bottom row, left end, diamond pattern handles and is that a 54 or an 07?

Well my morning has been productive thus far, while looking at antique shop listings I found this knife in Canada. Sent an offer and they accepted.
Listed as a vintage Richartz "whale" stamp... how old is this ?? Not sure, but I fell in love with it's look and couldn't pass it up.
Can someone also tell me any more about it and maybe what the the little hole in the punch is for? Cheers!

The awl is for sewing leather and heavy cloth. The majority of my Leathermans, and Swiss Army Knives have such a design, but I've never tried it.

Jerry,
It is a 54 and someone went and engraved those danged bolsters!

EDIT: Ever see handles like that before?

You had me all excited Ken. I have a Crimson Peach Seed Jigged Bone "07" Mini-Trapper on back order with Shepherd Hills. I rushed right over to SMKW only to discover that the one you bought is a "54" full sized Trapper. Shuckee darn.
Good price Bub.
Edit: BUT
I checked SMKW and they did have the Crimson Mini Trapper in stock so I ordered that, called Shepherd Hill and canceled the order that had been laying there since the end of January.

Pretty sure it's a Weske. If you look close, it might be light etched out on the face of the blade. ____Dave

I'm glad my post was a help to you. Or maybe I was enabling you addiction!

I just looked it up, yours was a pretty good price also.

Maybe that color wasn't going over so well. The one at Shepherd Hill was sale priced too only $5 more than SMKW.

I was just happy to get it (even at SMKW's higher shipping). Since the Case factory is shut down it would have been a much longer wait. I'm not good at waiting.
