Wow Scott.
Do you change vehicles often on your trips to conceal your route?

Scott, amazing, just amazing.
So, I’ve had the lighter coloured 72 for a while now. It was part of a most kind bomb. The darker one was part of my antique show haul.
Then on Saturday, I awoke to this...
Actually I bought the ‘baby’ from Jay at our knife club. It is a Camillus, but there’s no number. Anyone know what it is?
Little cutie is now living in my changepurse as an EDC.

If it's 2¾" closed it's a #77
If it's 2-5/8" closed it's a #83
Sorry, I don't know metric.
I bought a #77 a few years back because I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing.

I picket up this 6299 Case Tested at a local computer bid auction because nobody else wanted it. It was ugly before I gave it a one hour minor clean-up, mostly with a pencil and Wenol metal polish. I'm still not totally convinced I didn't waste 7 dollars. It has a Case XX shield (the first on they used with the tall S), but according to the counterfeiting book they used some of the old blades and frames up when they transitioned to the open C shield. Next I noticed the serif's on the E in Case sloped away at an angle instead of straight up and down. Then I saw a few of the Case Tested knives in Steve's book had that same stamp. Also Steve's description of the A blade matches this knife, which is a little more rare than the regular blade shape. So, am I out 7 dollars. If it's a counterfeit, they sure could have backed off the wear and tear a little and made it a little prettier.____Dave

Gave a customer this today cause his a good customer and he had been eyeing for awhile. These were a promo during Christmas and I still had a few.
He in return gave me this. Case XX, I think.

In return I gave him a coin. Ya’ll know the lore on that.

Never realized just how big those Pilot Survival Knives were until you showed it beside the Lake and Walker, which itself isn't a small knife at all.

And it doesn't look like the saw blade is broken. They are often.

Mighty fine, Scott! Great finds for today.
I saw a big Remington Trapper about that size in a pawn shop in Dothan, it was NIB and priced at $80. I believe those were put out by Camillus.

Knice haul Scott !
Personally, I would consider an unbroken PSK as a 'rare' knife ....

Great haul, Scott! Love that Pilot Survival knife. I got one that is in rough shape, and they are HEAVY!
My find for the day is not as rare, but I am happy with it. An official Boy Scout folding fork for $5 at an antique store. I already have the matching knife!
