Nice looking Sabre Barlow Ryan,

I have the same Sabre Barlow but yours is in much better condition.
Do you know how to date the Sabre from the tang stamp? Yours is a #3 and mine is a #603.
I know nothing about Sabre tang stamps but would guess yours is older than mine.

Wasn't sure about this one but I'd wanted an I*XL for a while and the price was good
Looks like a repair job, and a fine one at that
thouight if i didn't like the contrasting scales i'd dye the bone black but actually i'm warming to it.
Cuts like a champ too

That barlow is in nice shape stanwade. A Sabre was my first knife purchase around 1969 or 1970. I like that IXL Corso that is a good looking knife.

That sure is one of the better Queen aluminum frame barlows that I have seen.

Great looking Barlow John! Beautiful handles!

I'm not familiar with the term "hidden" backspring.
Could you post a picture of it for me?

That would be nice if you would educate me on this subject.
Thanks in advanced!
Tom

Thanks everyone. Chris, thanks for posting the picture. Tom, here is the patent for the design. I think mine is an early one as it is stamped Patent Pending and as far as I know bone was only used on early ones before switching to Delrin.
