Thanks for reminding me Jim. I had forgotten all about the Ka-Bar with the dog's head shield. And I knew someone else had to have at least one of those Camillus American Wildlife series.

Old Cutler I particularly like the Western raccoons' imprint.

How many were in that series, do you recall? The one I pictured is the only one I have.

That Western is a neat knife, single blade with split scale lock. I got it in almost unused condition about a year ago.

At least 16. There could have been more but I didn't take the time to check all the catalogs. This is just out of the 1976 catalog.

My latest Imperial "deer head" knife. In much better condition than the last one I posted. At least the main blade wasn't used as a screwdriver. Click a picture to ENLARGE.

Received my Camillus #17 Bird Knife in today’s mail (one of the American Wildlife Series from the mid 1970’s). I haven’t tried to collect this series but I do like hunting (and some fishing) specific purpose knives. I now have three of the American WIldlife pocketknives (also have the white Delrin handled Fish Knife and one of the large Trappers). Guess I need to find one of the Lock backs to have a basic set. OH

Went digging, found the #32 Fish Knife in my shop and the #10A Large Trapper still in its original package stored in a footlocker. I bought the #10A Large Trapper here on AAPK just after I joined in 2011- it's the first knife I remember buying from an AAPK Store after meeting this fine group of enablers (who showed off knives I had never dreamed of). I purchased it from a fellow who used Sergeant Schultz from Hogan's Hero's as his avatar - nice guy but he has disappeared from AAPK. According to the brochure in the 10A box there is also a #1006 Fillet and a #11 Lok-Back I need to acquire in order to have one of each pattern in the set. OH

I will be adding these two "deer head" knives to the group. Hopefully sometime this coming week. The first 3 pictures are the seller's and the last picture is mine, of what I have so far.

The last of them. I'm particularly proud of the Puma Big Five set. Took a good bit to assemble all of them in factory condition.

My pleasure. I'm rather partial to the Big Five Set. It's my tipping point from accumulator to collector, though I denied it for several years (and still do most of the time).

In the mid 90s Schrade had a number of college team SFOs and I think they may have all been SEC - but not 100% on that.

These 4 knives should be arriving some time next week. From top to bottom they are, an Imperial "steer head", an Imperial "deer head", an Imperial fixed blade, with sheath, "elk head" and a Colonial fixed blade "elk head." When I receive them, if they need it, they will get a cleaning and I will post MY pictures in the appropriate location(s). The menagerie continues to grow. These pictures are the seller's.

This Ulster cattle knife came off of the Schrade display board.

Skip, I'm probably wrong but that last one looks more like a Moose head to me. Opinions??

Jerry, I was thinking the same thing because of the way the antlers look. I'll know for sure when I receive it and clean it up, if it needs it. If the Colonial turns out to be a moose, I will not be disappointed. The Imperial fixed blade looks suspicious also. Again, if they both turn out to be moose instead of elk, I'll actually be VERY happy.

No question that is a Moose. An elk would have very high and wide antlers without the paddles. OH
Ps. Both of the fixed blades (the two different brands) are both an artists interpretation of a Moose.
