These two stags. Love the jumbo stockman at 4-1/4". Perfect size for hand and pocket, at least for me.

I have really large, arthritic hands and they don't close as tight as they used to, I need something that size so I can control it. All my knives are large, 4" plus, save for some barlows&TL-29's.

Back in December it was a Camco barlow. . . . Actually, everyday since then there has been a Camco barlow in my pocket. The clip blade had been ground straight before I got it, and the pen is still a pen. Most days I've got a Case sodbuster, and often a KK jack, in other pockets.

None of these are perfect: I'd rather the barlow had my preferred blade configuration (spear with a pen ground to a short Wharncliffe) and bone covers, I'd retire the KK from work if I could get a replacement of equal quality and configuration that wasn't also an old knife, and the sodbuster still needs a thong hole (I hate the thought of being without it while the work is being done). But they have good steel, hold an edge, and get the job done if the job is one that can be done with a folding knife (and often, even if the job is one I really should be doing with a heavier piece of cutlery).

These 3 today in the yard and desert...

The 6265 I normally carry while hunting. Been awhile since hunting season and since I pocketed it so I just slipped the big beast in the pocket today. I personally don't mind a very large knife in the pocket. Usually have a plus 4 inch knife in the pocket daily. To each his own but pocket ride or pocket friendly just does not factor into what I carry. I pick my EDCs based on known (and unknown) tasks of the day. Everyone does it different and I respect that.

Maybe so. Not the best practice I agree. Would I do that on a newer knife, no. Yet to break an oldie by doing that. Thanks for the reminder though.

Therefore I'm taking an Opinel #6 in Carbon for a little slicing action and a Mini Trapper for myself.

Is it Colonial related?

-the Anvils I have are stamped "Anvil", "Colonial", and one is stamped "Ranger". I think they were Anvil originally and then perhaps acquired by Colonial.

That book is made like a Bible, too, flexible cover and gold leaf on the page edges. I have another, same title and era, by Raynor. I bought them to study how to map, I want to do so of a small farm I inherited. I have a Brunton hand transit, also, bought it years ago at a flea market, and I plan to use that.

I downloaded a PDF of instructions from Brunton, and they include how to survey and file a mining claim

P, that is indeed a Charlow.
It's a beautiful throw back to the barlows of the past I must say, GEC and Charlie did a great job on this colab!

Goes without saying I think..... For OHO I'll give a nod to Tanto Tuesday.
