All About Pocket Knives

Have my GEC 15 pullin' duty tonight, waiting for the power to go out [/color]

Man I am liking this 47 frame! Tough knife and sharp as hell. Paired with an old razor sharp farmers jack today.
I like using the 47 around the yard as it will cut through most anything and since the blades are SS, I just hit it with the hose to clean it.

And the 6165 Hunter just in case...

-from whence did it come, then? Is it European parts assembled in China? I have a nice Puma stockman with bone handles that came that route and I enjoy it thoroughly.

Still a practical and handsome knife, as is that trapper of yours.

All that aside and not on topic, sooner or later, if it's not already going on, people will figure out how collectable Rough Riders are simply due to the variety of styles and finishes they offer, and at less than twenty bucks a throw.

With all due respect and to each his own but a Rough Rider or any other brand made there will never see the inside of my pocket or safe, even if they were giving them away. If you enjoy them, that's fine but I personally doubt they will be sought after collectors knives years from now. Maybe I am wrong. Truth be told, never seen or handled one nor do I care to.

I gut to agree with ya Jerry,I've seen too many of them RR fall apart on the job site just not a good user ::shrug::Cutty what type of handles on that Pro-tech?I like that set up

Jerry I think rods are the best thing to happen to knife sharpeners. You can't beat them for a good edge and there ease of use, thanks for the video.

Clay, the guy in the video, is the guy who sharpened my ProTech
Yes they are very expensive but if I had the money, I would have one right now. The proof is in the pudding. The highest grit he used was something like 1.5 micron diamond He said that they have .5 micron on the way.

guarddogg, I got the ProTech in a trade with BigMonk. The inserts are some type of rubbery plastic. Somewhat gritty but just a tad spongy too. I don't think that they make this exact model anymore Could be wrong though.

Appreciated; I don't really carry that one either but I have two of them so I think I'll commit one to my pocket. I also have two smaller ones, horticulture knives I think, and I'll do the same with one of those.

I'd like one with a wharnecliffe.
