Man, what a generous group of people here at AAPK. Congrats to all the "Bombers" and "Bombee's"

Well there was a bombing here on Starvation Plantation today, seems the mailman couldn't get the package in the mailbox, so he brought it on up to the house. I noticed the package was from the Left Coast and saw a name I recognized.

Have y'all heard of a guy that goes by the name of Junebug? Well it seems that Junebug and his better half, Tiff, sent my better half, Miss Joy, a very special surprise! I had mentioned in a post about going to the antique/junk shops under the pretense of looking for green glass with my wife, all the while I'm lookin' for old pocket knives and Junebug remembered! This wonderful couple sent my wife 3 very nice pieces of green glass! The pretty green bowl is a perfect match to another she has and the salt and pepper shakers are a rare pattern.

The MAD BOMBER (Junebug) has struck yet again. He sent me this great Robeson scout knife several days ago. I've been dealing with computer "issues" so it's taken me a while to get this posted. Better late than never I hope......

Bugster knows I like scouts and knows I like patina on em. Needless to say, I like this knife very much. It will make a great addition to my collection. Thanks Josh, you're an alright guy regardless of what Cutty sez about ya.

It appears from the picture the liners on your "new" Robeson are brass, does the bail have a little more red color to it or is that the lighting? Copper should be a lot softer than brass if you dare to try a tiny scratch test .

Everyone here knows 313 Mike was in the Marine Corps. I thought he was in Motor-T but apparently I was misguided and he was in Engineers 'cause he sure loves to blow stuff up.

Today's mail dropped this cluster bomb from Mike, square on top of my knobby old noggin. I'm looking forward to reading the book and Marine Corps stickers are always welcome but the Svord Peasant's knife made me laugh. I've had that exact knife on my eBay watch list, on and off for about a year. Do you think he's psychic or maybe is it psycho?

Received this in yesterday's mail. A gift from Ray (knife7knut). It's neater than all get out and very well made. It's so smooth, it's almost like a worry stone. You don't want to lay it down. Ray says you can use it as a letter opener (and I suppose you could) or a self-defense tool (that's also a possibility). It's just so darned neat, I'm going to display here at my desk. I like touching it and looking at it.

Jerry I had the pleasure of meeting Ray in person a couple of years ago. He gave me one of those little letter openers at that time and it's had a home here on my desk ever since. I agree it's a cool tool. I think of him every time I use it.

I GOT BOMBED TODAY!! Our own Tennessee Blue Yodler, Singin'46, dropped a bomb into my mail box this morning. He had warned me earlier that he was going to do it but I thought that he was just drawing that "do not cross red line" like that one feller in D.C. does, but he was serious.

What I found inside the USPS Priority box simply made my day, a WWII era Imperial Easy-Open Jack. The handles have the most wonderful pocket-worn appearance. Perry certainly knows the way to my heart. This little feller is already getting aquainted and making new friends.
All I can say is, THANK YOU SO MUCH, PERRY! Keep singin' like a girl

I took a direct and unexpected hit today from Scott (Triple F)! I was not expecting anything in today's mail, so when my daughter brought it in and said "you got a package Daddy!", I looked up like a dog smelling a steak on a grill!
Very cool little Schrade+ USA SC513 lockback, 3" closed with an ornery looking snake on one side...and my name on the other!
Also a nice chunk of that aromatic Florida fatwood that I like so much...very nice, thanks so much Scott!
