If I could find a Keen Kutter knife in the DFW area it would cost at least an arm. If you are within 100 miles of St. Louis you see them all the time and they are priced very affordable. Here are two Keen Kutter's I picked up at Antique Treasures in Farmington, MO. I always stop there to look for knives and have never been disapointed.

Here is a Bear MGC USA Barlow. 2 blades of damascus steel, smooth bone handle and the # 001 etched in the shield. Could this be the first knife in that series?

My finds of the last week or so. An unknown Japanese fixed blade, three TL29's. One Kline and 2 Camillus. An Imperial Ireland Granddaddy Barlow, 2 Kent Scouts, a Colonial Scout with the handles on backwards, a Royal Brand USA, a Syracuse Knife Company, a Schrade Walden 834 and a Rough Rider toothpick. I've been busy cleaning!

Byrd that is a good looking bunch. I see 3 that light my fire. That little schrade 834 is a sweet knife but all look good.

Yea, some are bottom feeders that I got cheap and some are decent. The Schrade was in a box that my brother sent me.

Very nice pile! I see a couple that I’d give a home to!
I do love going knife hunting. You just never know what will jump up at you. I think I get almost a big a kick looking at everyone else’s haul too!

David, I also like shopping at Antique Treasures in Farmington Missouri! You get a chance and like catfish try Catfish Kettle in Farmington! Bring you appetite! Their Coconut Creme Pies weigh about 10 pounds! I was a CT in the Navy!

Scott, I have no familiarity with Handy Andy but the serrations on that blade look to me as tho they would be practical, that is that they would work pretty efficiently.

Talking about food.
If any of you guys ever come up here. They say some of the best bbq to be had is in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. About 2 1/2 hour drive north of me. It is called The Dam Smokehouse. Guys say its some of the best anywhere. I have plans when i'm up that way...

Apparently I don’t have to leave home to buy knives!
I was talking about my collection to the male roomie. (A young couple shares the main floor with me). He said that he had a big knife that had come in as garbage at his old recycling job. Un fortunately he took a grinder to it, but...
I promptly threw a little $ at him anyway...
He hadn’t managed to trash the tang stamp...
As you guys know, any Pal is a pal of mine!

Ann, those old Pal knives have enough steel, that even on that's had some grinding still have a lot of great knife buried inside. I have one I worked on for some time and really like it. ___Dave

Here is today’s haul. The pistol knife was a gift from a fellow at my local club and the Richards and little J Thompson are from the Red Barn/Vancouver Flea Market.
I think the fixed was part of a two knife set originally. It’s a cutie! He has a slightly smaller one too, which I may snag next week.

Picked up a very interesting stag handled old knife that is tang marked Pat. Ang. SZL Rostfrei and bolster deep stamped RAPID. The knurled brass and steel knob hides the thin flipper lever that you open and close the blade with. I'm guessing it's German and is a very good quality knife. I found one web site and they called it a rolling lock. I need to do some more research on this knife. The seller threw in the well used Marshall Wells Hawkbill in on the deal.____Dave
