Sorry I haven’t been following this forum as well as I should.
You have posted some wonderful old knives here.
Thank you.

Some of the bolster locks here aren’t new to me. But a couple are. Figured I’d post them here anyways. The fish knife and the old bone English jack are the newest additions.

You probably already know this but use caution with pressure on the bone at the lock. No support there.
Those are beautiful knives, but you know that too.

Thank you Charlie! I’ve had a good mentor along the way lol. And yessir Joe. I’m extremely cautious. I’ve owned the toothpick for a couple years now and that picture was only the 3rd time I had ever opened it haha! The bolster lock is such an interesting design and a testament to Robeson always trying to stay at the front of the game with new designs. Even if it failed, they weren’t scared to take a chance.

Picked this canoe up from SSK a while back. RCSB was what hooked me. Thanks Mark. According to RobesonsRme, the tang stamp dates it between 1916 and 1939. Very cool!

Question - this is my first Robeson. Were they all boxed as Limited Production or is this one special? It is etched 1 of 200.

I’m no help as I don’t know anything about the reproduction knives made by Queen or others.
Robeson did produce a Gunboat back in the day. A Gunboat is slightly larger than a Canoe.

That is the Queen made Robeson from the mid 00’s I believe. All the ones I’ve seen have been limited production numbers like 300 or so. Nice knife.

Well that time frame makes way more sense considering the condition of the knife. Thanks.
