Being in the Navy we were squared away most of the time. It's kind of hard to do when your working on engineroom equipment everyday. For our Great Lakes graduation picture we did the best we could! Not as good as your picture but at we looked , ....OK. It's kind of hard to walk the walk in rough seas! ftd

OK, I figured it out now.

In the first picture Jerry is the 4th kid from the right in the second row back.

On the military picture he is the fourth from the right in the back row, wearing the glasses ::nod::

Dimitri, you're just an old smarty pants. Bullseye on the first. Maggies drawers on the second.

Did/do the Army and Air Force use the term "squared away", or is that just Navy / Marine Corps talk?

I was only aboard ship once. Loved it, even if I did catch mess duty on the way over and head duty on the way back.

Jerry! I don't know if that is used in other branches, but I heard it from the first day at Great Lakes bootcamp. I never had to go to messcooking or clean heads , but there were times I would have gladly traded that for bildgediving underway!!! ftd

Mike, maybe the black solo cup is affecting your memory???
No really, great picture, would have been really neat if it was the #73 in your hand, but we can live with the cup. ::tu::

Alas TripleF, we rented the cabin for the weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer. Twoshoes, I believe you are right. That was not the first, or the last time I was caught with one of them cups in my hand.

Big Monk, I already figured out what team you pulled for before I went back and refreshed my memory that you were from Ninety-Six. Just from looking at the picture...

A self portrait showing how "sharp" and "bright" I am. I may be a little fragmented, but I haven't lost my marbles yet. They are in a cup close at hand. A little manipulation has removed brand names from the depths of my mind. Oh, I know what you are thinking but it isn't true. I had absolutely nothing to do with any of the Superbowl advertisments. Now where did I leave those marbles?

Fantastic Bulldog there. I didn't know they'd made a moose.

Thanks. It is a 1996 USA made (by Queen) that originally had celluloid handles that were outgassing. I had them replaced with white bone. The moose is the 2nd pattern made in the USA for Bulldog but it doesn't show up in any of the books I've seen. They also made the Lumberjack series Moose earlier, maybe 1st generation, and the same knife with celluloid handles and the Peacock etch. Those are kind of rare.
