Picked this one up this week, a J.A. Henckels stag farmers jack, blade is stamped Wm. F. Kasting. William F Kasting Co was a wholesale florist in Buffalo NY that started in 1887 and went through 3 generations of William Kastings as president of the company.

Beauty of a knife, John! A Sword Brand Farmer's Jack would be coveted by anyone who loves old knives, great name, great pattern, and an overall great look to it!

Cattauragus farmer at 3 3/4" and not a wharncliff frame , a little unusual. Although almost 1/4" smaller than most Farmers , it boasts one of the largest pruning blades.

I'm curious as why some Sword Brand are stamped Sword Brand and others are etched Sword Brand and stamped Camillus ???s
Just different years???
