All About Pocket Knives

Anyone familiar with this tangstamp? C. K. Co. USA. Is it possibly a second line from Camillus, or maybe Colonial, or maybe somebody else?

It's Colonial according to Goins' and Levine's.

Picked up this one for the stamp, previously unknown to me. Goins lists dates of 1900-1930 for Charlton. It measures 3 7/8".

Wow, that's cool! Never seen one with a wedged form like that Ike. Interesting conversation piece! Nice find!
I assume it's still considered a whittler. I'd call it a "Wedge Whittler".

Interesting whittler, Ike! Great find! Certainly is a short, thick ended wedge!

I have never seen such a wide wedge shaped center liner and i have never seen such wide gaps between the springs & liner. Sheffield cutlers did not do work like that.
It is a very interesting knife but my bet is Sheffield, India.
Don't despair. It's a neat knife and i could be wrong. Often am.

Edit to add: Sheffield, India usually have brass bolsters, so maybe this is from Britain ? It is a bit of a puzzle.

I thought that the wedge looked a little funky, so I chose that photo to see what feedback I got. The camera angle I chose, may have exaggerated the size slightly.
KJ, no despair here, it was purchased for it's uniqueness, and no matter what, it is unique.

Here's one I posted about 5 years ago in another thread (viewtopic.php?f=35&t=46309&hilit=osgood ... Bamp%3B+co) but never posted it here where it also belongs - I have never seen another of this stamp though I have a MOP Osgood Bray & Co pen as well... In short as it is noted in the original thread Osgood Bray & Co was located in Massachusetts - and was a wholesaler of cutlery in Boston in the later 1800s to 1905 known for their razors, scissors, shears, pocket knives and manicure instruments. Their knives with the 3 star stamp were supposedly made by Burkinshaw (Pepperell MA) under contract. Anyway here are my updated photos which are so much better using my updated photo light box... This no doubt is one of my favorite jacks in my collection - just a solid knife all the way around with my favorite worm groove bone jigging ...

If that were a common, everyday stamp it would still be a wonderful knife. Blades are full, handles are extrodinary! What a wonderful knife.
