Bill, Greg, thank you for the kind words!
Lee, I like your taste in knives
New England made knives are my favorite and I agree that Burkinshaw is something special
Roger, I am enjoying the show, great knives and diversity!

Excellent Roger

Keep'em coming - I'm quite enjoying the show of eye candy

...
Thanks Dimitri - We indeed share the same feeling about New England knives

- along with Sheffield made knives as well

though I jump on those from England outside Sheffield like London, Birmingham etc as I'm sure you do as well

... I do quite like your diversity of knives from many makers in your collecting

... For multiple reasons I keep myself rather focused as I learned very quickly long ago I couldn't buy every appealing knife - but I do have this box of what I like to call "special opportunities" which are those old knives from other makers that were irresistible because of pattern & condition coupled importantly to a price that seals the deal

... the latter are a much smaller number of knives and generally the local hunt scores where I stumbled on knives I couldn't in my right mind leave behind without regret

...

All sweet knives Dimitri

I'm glad you guys are enjoying looking at them
Lee, the jigged bone Empire is a fantastic knife I can see why you like it so much

I don't think it was ever used much but had been stored improperly and has a dark patina, but I have never found a better one so I am very happy with it as is!
I hope some others start posting, I am almost done!

Thanks Bill

Dimitri - Somehow I don't mind the patina and stains when the blades are full, snap & are tight and the handle covers are in decent shape - of course always nice to find it as a properly stored "sleeper" with just a sweet gray patina but that doesn't happen all that often - and I'm not telling you anything you didn't know long before me

...
BTW Dimitri - I know you're not out of knives but I imagine like me it is a matter of more photos and accordingly time - I can relate
But speaking of jigged bone harness jacks - here's a Waterville Harness Jack with jigged bone - no doubt also used but not terribly abused
