Very rarely see anything good a local flea markets. Last Saturday I picked up a couple of Premier knives for reasonable prices.

Interesting scales on the little pen. What is the material?

Pick up a couple knives.Schrade Walden double switch,with great snap and some original Finnish..Utica Pocket Pard,nice cond. With some etch, but file blade broken,got the box a couple months ago.searchong for a nicer knife.

Well, today’s haul is sad, at best. Three Richards, a little fob or gentlemans and a ‘credit card’ tool holding a pretty big surprise. Here’s the whole lot. The large silver one is a Richards that has what seems to be aluminum scales. I think the blade pin has been replaced. The guy threw in the green Richards for free. It’s missing a big chunk of the front side scale. Maybe I’ll invest in some green nail polish!
The little silver Richards is the twin to one I already have. This one is missing it’s bail. I got it to throw in my change purse. It occurred to me that my EDCs include everything but a Richards!
I was pretty surprised when I pulled the blade out of the credit card. Compared to the bit of edge you usually get on something like this, that knife is huge!
Well, there they are. Perhaps more tomorrow?!

Found these 2 at the swap meet today.
Boker Germany whittler good walk and talk all blades. Main blade has som miles on it but should take a nice edge. and a minty Kabar 1100 stockman factory grind on all blades still

Nary a Richards in sight, except a truly distressed grey celluloid that I already have. However, I didn’t walk away empty handed!
We got out too late for Abbotsford and had to settle for the Cloverdale swap, not that there’s anything wrong with Cloverdale. Anyway, I’ve been eyeing this little Ruho fixed for some time but didn’t like the price. Since it was the end of the day, the seller dropped the price by a third, without me even asking, and off we went!
I’ve bought knives from the vender before, at full price. I think he was just wanting to get what he could and go home.
Here she is! I don’t think the sheath is original, but it’s always nice to have one.
By the way, it does seem to be Ruho, not Ruko. I had a look at my Ruko and the lettering is different and I’m sure it’s an ‘h’ not a ‘k’.

I hope that is a very sturdy box.
I just came across the first Press Button Knife ever for me & this thing is a beast. The backspring looks like it's about 1/4" thick.

Still pops open too !! halfway , anyway.

Found this CASE knife at a pawn shop earlier

Found this Camillus 5" BSA Folding Hunter w/serrated secondary blade with separate lock at a local thrift today. I really like the serrated blade and single bolster, jigged bone handles are nice too.

Syd, that's a saw blade. And your knife is a great pickup.

Thanks for the heads up! Being made for BSA it having a saw blade makes sense, I stand happily corrected.

Check the edges of the handles for fissures, indentations, etc. indicating natural bone. That knife looks suspiciously like the typical reddish Delrin handles Camillus used on many knives of that later era. If it was purported to be a bone-handled knife by the seller, you may find that it isn't the case.

Regardless, it's a really nice BSA knife and you don't see many on the secondary market.

Hmm, that's entirely possible, I've been fooled before but being a thrift store find they didn't represent it any way except it being a BSA knife, which they assume makes it more valuable, (a common urban legend). That's why I waited for a sale, I knew it was over priced originally. I'm constantly amazed at how pawn shop sellers in particular will price a knife according to what they erroneously think it should be worth, (example, a Chinese Buck being advertised as "vintage" or "rare" and priced higher than it could be bought new just because it's a Buck, I see that all the time on the bay). I guess I'll do a pin test as my eyes are too boogered to see closely enough to see pores and/or fissures, even with a magnifying glass. Irregardless of the handle material my grandson will inherit this "genuine" BSA knife when he grows up, he won't care either way, to him it will just be one of Grandpa's knives hopefully to be treasured as such. I did find a guy on the Camillus Collectors FB group who identified it as an "LB11 BSA# 1068 1989", so at least I can call it "genuine" BSA.

Yesterday’s haul.
The little gentleman’s penknife is nameless. I’ve seen this in a few of my little ones. I wonder if it may have come with a watch? Perhaps they didn’t bother to give it its own marking if the watch was marked.
The little celluloid is a Italian Copolla Parodi. I think it’s actually my tiniest knife.
I don’t usually collect flatwear but this little fruit knife has been yelling at me for a couple of weeks. I really like the handle. Plus, it was two bucks! It’s a Rogers Bros Warrented.
They’re all from the Red Barn swapmeet.

Linnea's oldest daughter gave my smallest knife to me. We call it the "Skeeter Skinner".

Found 3 Case knives yesterday. Beaten up pretty good but I like them. Thanks for looking.

A big white Richards and a little gold (filled) fob. Not too bad for the Saturday haul! Tomorrow is both the Cloverdale and Abbotsford swaps. Hopefully more little treasures will follow me home!
