Wondering if anyone knows the meaning of a"US2" tang stamp on this ULSTER melon tester. It's 5" long, a little less than most. Stamped : ULSTER, US2, Stainless Thanks. J.O'

Hmmmmmm....
That is an interesting question.

I'm not sure what that means. I always think "US" means united states but I am sure in "knife terms" it will mean something else.

Maybe Ulster Stainless #2..(?).... Maybe somebody that really knows will chime in.

That means you should donate it to a non US knife collector. Then they can say...,
"See this Ulster here, this one is from the US 2 (Too) !"

Good night friends,
Tom

This matchbook arrived yesterday afternoon.
The Ulster "Old Timer" pocket knife offer expired in June, 1973.
It is in VERY GOOD condition.

That's too cool, Skip! I have a dead mint version of that knife. Just don't let any of your smoker friends near those matches! :D

I'll guess that you paid slightly more than $2.00 for your pocket knife.
The matchbook is perfectly safe from being used. ::tu::
