Dale, neat knife, what do you call that blade style? Looks like a merger of a Sheepsfoot and a Tanto - I like the looks of it. OH

Now see. That's the problem with this place. I had never seen, heard of or been aware of the existence of a Random Task before Dale posted that one, now the juices are flowing. Good buy Dale. Looks like most folks are asking obscene prices fro them.

Bought and received two Case Knives so far this year, simply not being fair to Buck Knife. Went ahead and ordered a short run knife, the Buck 117, a scaled down 119 (or a scaled up 102) by Copper & Clad. Just ordered it via ebay, so not sure when it will arrive, probably SAT or MON. OH

You're going to love it Gino. Queen did a great job on that line of smooth bone and it's a great pattern. ::tu::

I believe they called it Harvest Smooth Bone and used it in 2009.

Here's another bottom-feeder special I just won on ebay. It's an appaloosa peanut with a number on the bolster. It has some corrosion, but I got it really, REALLY cheap. We'll have to see whether that was a smart or stupid move when it gets here!

What a find! I have the same peanut with the same etch but I don't recall it having a serial number on the bolster. I'll have to dig it out and double-check. I'm a huge fan of Case's Appy bone, you done good! ::tu::

Anytime you can find a case bone peanut in good condition (like yours) really really cheap, it's a smart move. Nice pick-up.

A Blue Sparkle Kirinite 07 is at the distribution center in COPPELL TX and headed here. It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow but I doubt that's going to happen. Maybe Tuesday.

And then there's this 07 I won the bid on less than an hour ago. That makes five Carhartt 07s. Please God, let there not be anymore. They're going to put me in the poor house.

Those are very cool Jerry! I woke up to this little guy in my "awaiting payment" box. I don't know why I bought it, other than the marking of "silver filled" near the bail intrigued me. I assume they are just talking about the bail ring itself being Sterling silver? I guess if I need a neck knife that can open letters and beer bottles, I'm all set!

Big sigh of relief. It's not an 07 Mini Trapper, it's one of those don't give two hoots in the holler Russlocks. It's going to be a good week. Not even 0700 on Monday morning and I've already dodged a bullet. (besides waking up to a refund on that 07 I was never going to receive. Long ugly story) ::ds:: ::super_happy::

Ahh - I missed the detail that it is only the 07 that makes your trigger finger itch. I will strive to do better in the future. I would not want that pair of Hawk missiles unleashed at my contrail orifice... ::tounge::

Wise choice because they didn't need a direct hit to do their job. Edit: Oh, and BTW, they were not a heat seeker, they were radar guided.

I'm surprised you recognized the HAWKs. They've been discontinued by our military for about 20 years. I think the Israelis may still have them. Even though U.S. HAWKs were never fired in combat, Janes reports that during the Arab–Israeli War of Attrition (1967-1970), Israeli HAWKs had 12 kills.

Oh - I never mentioned that I used to be an aeronautical engineer and worked on military aircraft & missile systems in the 80s & 90s? I didn't work on the Hawk directly, but I did work on simulations of similar systems from friends & foes. And yeah, I knew the Hawk was radar guided, I just wanted to use the "contrail orifice" reference... ::tounge::

It was a good reference. Good job. Sit Ubu. Sit. Good dog.

And no, you never mentioned you were a high-falutin' Astronautical Engine driver. Did you have to go to High School for that? ::poke:: ::poke::
