Scott -- I have a Hammer Brand with those handles. Picked it up a couple of years ago at the big Pec flea market for a dollar.

I picked this up on Friday from a local antique store. It's an Imperial, with a steer head scale.

Shell jack with real shield. Tabs on ends of shield go through the wrap but I cannot tell if they are through the shells. Anyone have any of these to share or more information?

Here's my latest shell handle.
It's from the "Patriotic" series in the 1941 Imperial catalog at the schrades-r-us site.
http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/ ... perial.pdf Page 55.
These knives were only made in 1941 and maybe into early 1942 - before the US entered the war...
thus it has the pre-war, no USA, on the Hammer Brand stamp. This series was droped from
the Imperial line-up.

There were very few of this series made in comparison to other shell handles coming out of the factory.

If there is such a thing as a rare shell handle, these patriotic's (the whole series) would qualify.

Thanks for the comments, guys!

The catalog designates "OG" as the ordering info. for the RWB knives.
::hmm:: Think it might stand for "Old Glory"???

This color is indeed a tough one to find.
I'll try and post some more pics of the few
others I have from the series. All are hard to find, especialy in good condition.

Here is an "U.S. Air Corps" insigina trick knife... guess I could have wiped the dust off it.

I did buy one last week. A older camp knife. I always seemed to have one of these growing up and I collect camp and bsa knives so was glad to add this one.

That's a strange thing, Scott. I have found two NOS knives of the same pattern
with the post war stamp that have been cracked on the back of the nick. ::shrug::

The seller should have definitely noted that...

Scored a new Colonial hobo. I was real surprised of how well they are made. Some have long pull, half stops on all blades. Just a neat little knife.
