Nice! First Lady's Leg I've seen with a corkscrew. There's part of me that finds Lady's Leg knives the ugliest knife ever made, all the while, I've been looking for a cheap Remington Nehi knife that someone hasn't destroyed for ages. And there's a TON of fakes made in Japan from the 1980s. Thankfully, those have stainless blades, the real ones carbon, so it's easy to spot.

What is the saying? Three or more is a collection? Hmmm...
This is the third Richards to follow me home since Christmas! Cute little guy, $5Cdn. As you can see, there is some spotting on the blades but the scales are really good. I’m happy!

As you can see, there is some spotting on the blades but the scales are really good. I’m happy!

You are a real bargain shopper. Good find. I think you have something going there. Next thing you know, you'll have 30 or 40 of 'em.

Finds from the latest small town gun/knife show. Western 742C, and a Ulster electricians knife that I'll have a blast cleaning up and making a 5 dollar knife into a 6 dollar knife. The gun came somehow joined the knives as I was leaving. It's a 9 shot H&R 22. I always wanted one of those and the price was right.____Dave

Carrmillus, we all must be related somehow. I've got the cousin to you and Dave's twins! It's an H&R, 7 shot .22 with wooden grips, octagon barrel and a big brass blade front sight. It's stamped "Trapper Model", it belonged to my dad when he was a kid. You got to push the little button on the front of the frame to remove the cylinder in order to reload.

I shot it this afternoon but with all the snow I didn't pit out a target. I just shot it off my back deck into the yard, and by golly if I didn't hit it. It's a big yard. Now you have me curious enough to maybe put out a target tomorrow.____Dave

...I hate to admit this, but my wife is a dead-eye with it!!...I guess it's been so long since I shot a pistol I've just forgotten how!!!....when I'm shooting my .44-40 Henry it's a different story!!!....... ..............

It's been a long time since I made it to an antiques fair. Got out and did some scrounging today. Unfortunately the gold bolstered IXL Wostemholn congress with a broken blade was priced too high since they were being greedy about the gold but I picked up these knives and a coule of bags full of tools and replacement handles for all my tool heads.

Wow! I rarely find any pocket knives at antique fairs (last time I went to one, there was a guy who had a bunch of Scout knives, at fair prices, so I bought a couple), let alone ones that aren't overpriced, broken junk (just because it's "antique"). Yet you've found a lot of rarities in good shape (at least compared to the junk I usually see locally), including some I never see.

Couple questions, is the top right one of those that folds out to a rule? And what is the mark on the metal scaled British Army pattern?

We stopped at a yard sale on our way back from Panama this morning and I found a bunch of knives, none that I wanted, all were the typical China, Pakistan, Zombie killers, etc.. however I did find a quart Ziploc bag with 14 small files inside. Most were 3 cornered files of different configurations and a couple of small flat files with good teeth. Who doesn't need a small file from time to time when you are diddling with pocket knives?

Excellent score on the files! I use them at work and it can be hard to find used ones that are any good.

Sometimes a knife catches your eye. I was looking at case full of interesting stuff at the local antique store today and noticed this "thing" because of the handle material. Wrote down the case number and overheard some one ask for the key to that case, so I eased back to see what was going on. Another feller was interested in some fixed blades and I asked to see this pocket knife: I'm not too attracted to this type knife but went ahead and bought it. Internet search of S.C.O.F. leads me on a wild ride to French table wear, haven't seen this pattern of knife mentioned, yet. The horn handles caught my eye as well as the threaded bolster and shackle that seem to be nickel silver. Liners are brass, all the blades and tools seem to be stainless as there is "ino?" beside the makers stamp on the main blade. A main spear, a small clip, a screw driver blade, a punch (awl), a cork screw and a can opener, kinda' like a French made SAK.
The knife is about 3 5/8" closed. The back springs are not full length, only about 1 1/2" long.
Anyone familiar with this one and the company name? Treefarmer

Philip I can see why you didn't walk past that one. Doesn't look old but it sure looks interesting. Love those scales.
