Thank you Dogleg I mostly collect old USA made Barlows but sometimes I switch up and try something keep some and purge some. This hobby is more of an addiction sometimes.

Re: Indian Head knife posted towards top of page: if handles are celluloid they have a very high incidence of off gassing on these Risner Indian Head knives. Note there are recent China copies and these do not have cell handles.

Thanks Glenn I have heard that the KCC knives were really nice so when I had the chance to buy it for a very good price I snagged it and I must say it lives up to it's rep but then again it's an AG Russell special project made in Seki Japan.

Hey Scott, the white and black handled fixed blade knife on the top of your photo looks a little familiar, I made a few like that several years ago, mine would have my Landenberger logo on the left side of the blade. does that knife have any markings? The ones I made were ivory and ebony, I doubt it is one of mine but you never know. thanks for looking, Terry

Today’s prizes from $5 Knife Guy at the Anbotsford swapmeet.
He’s actually been selling them for 3 @ $10.
The big one went to my son for a work knife, the second went to his girlfriend and I got the little spider knife.
I’ve actually been kind of eying the one Ty got because the handle bows out and the wood is just lovely. She needed a work knife too and her hands are smaller, so she got it.
I really like the black widow. Of course, I got it partly because of the graphic but it’s also really solid and deadly sharp. I sometimes carve a bit and that little needle tip ought to come in handy.

To me the attendance seemed to be down this year from last year, but I suppose there were probably 400 or 500 counting the table holders. There were probably 60 table holders and several with multiple tables.

One fellow has mostly old knives and he had 8 or 10 tables. I got several lo those knives from him.

I got a few other knives and some sheaths also, but the ones in the picture for the ones that really made today for me.

It's been a while! But when it rains it pours.

This Kutmaster muskrat with Winterbottom bone swam in out of the bay this afternoon. Needs a little cleanup, but it's all good.
Before I could get home to fish it out of the mailbox I succumbed to temptation and stopped at a local place here that sells guns and trades in old pocket knives. I managed to snag this old Holley Manufacturing Company and an IXL TYNE. The brass on the IXL needs polishing and the Holly cleaned up, but he shot me a price I couldn't refuse. Especially since the IXL has never been sharpened.
Excuse the poor pics, but it was dark when I got home.

Great finds! Are the handles on the muskrat that different or is it the light? Old muskrats are neat. In fact you had a great day with these finds! ::
