Thanks Cudgee and Phillip!

Will post some from July soon on my 6 day vacation at at a NV mountain lake called Onion Valley Reservoir where you could catch a fish if you cast a string with a rock tied on the end. Caught 50 trout in a few seconds of anything hitting the water. Fished a couple hours per day. Flies, bait, spinners, worms, etc. 4 four nights was just my SIG 10MM and I with coyotes every night IN camp. No other souls there but the aforementioned.

Sounds like a most awesome vacation Jerry. Them dogs don't stand a chance against that 10 mill, sig's are schwa-eeet!

Yes they were on edge of camp but zero concern with two fires involved. Fire and with firearm. Came in to scavenge when I went into tent. No problem.

Had an interesting run for a bit prior to my vacation/ 6 day decompress. Between the no vacation for a year straight, riots, looting, mayhem on TV, need to rename Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben even though I love those products regardless of the color of spokesperson on box or bottle, etc, I was ready to get away. Then there was a gentleman ((I wish to use another term but will likely get called out for non-sanitary name description) that was told to quarantine the day I saw him and he agreed to meet next day to complete some work I was doing. 14 day quarantine for contact with a senseless, no common sense individual.
Was ready for some downtime in my mountains away from all that noise.
Sorry to detail and possibly detail but a catch-up and prequel to my trip in one fell swoop.

Trouble posting pics from new phone as same as right before hiatus.
Tried to address then but still persists. Will figure it out and post as it is a beautiful area for sure.

Will figure it out and post. Area I went last year in September with jacuzzi temp stream close (that's 40 miles in these parts) at maybe 105 degrees is my guess.
Aspen microclimate at 7300 feet and beauty and fish plentiful.

Good morning folks, sipping coffee and waking up. I usually turn in early but stayed up late to watch East Carolina play (and eventually lose) to Tulsa last night. Going to bed at 12:45 am ain’t a good idea! OH

Oops, I thought I was in the FIrst Cup thread - told you staying up late ain’t good for me! My best ever deer hunting student (long a deer hunting master of his own) shot this big six pointer in the woods last evening, right at the last minute of legal light. Even at a young and vigorous 28 years of age, pulling a dead 187 lbs buck up a hill in the woods and across a field of soybeans, then loading it in the back of his pickup by himself worked on his stamina! That’s why I only hunt with a young guy with me anymore. OH

Enjoy seeing the deer pictures, it doesn't matter if they are ridin' in the back of a truck or feeding in big homer's yard! big homer, you need to feed that ol' boy some "brow tine grower". Seems a bit unusual to see antlers with that much bone without brow tines or as some folks say, "eye guards". Probably hereditary, there may be other without those points. When we lived down in Central Florida, before Disney, we noticed deer from certain sections of the big ranch leases would have similar shaped racks. Some would be high and tight with no spread and then a couple of miles away the bucks might have wide racks with maybe short tines. I don't think that is a hard fast rule but just an observation.

Famer it was so dark I couldn't hardly see him, my phone amazes me that it can take a photo and get that much light in it. All the tines may not be showing up in my photo, it's awfully fuzzy, heck it was almost dark when the doe and youngsters were there, it was really dark by the time he got there.

Visitor to the neighborhood! Actually, a neighborhood nearby. A healthy looking young (Ithink) cat who has clearly been feeding on the cottontail population thereabouts.
