Been packing and using GEC's for a while, I don't baby them, they've been wet, blooded, slimed and about anything else you can think of and they just keep coming back for more.
The 23 was rehandled in Desert Ironwood, it get carried in a sheath.
The 72's and 73"s seem to be my favorite's and the 48's are nice (I'm a single blade guy)
I don't usually carry multi-blades but this 29 is very handy, I like the blade configuration, well done...JMO

Bob, that is certainly a fine selection of GECs.

Gorgeous bunch there Bob, really like the 73 with the ironwood. Beautiful 72 in there as well. Love looking at more GECs. Never gets old to me.

One thing I've noticed on their blade's is the brushed finish can develop carbon spots and little squiggly's, the courser the finish
the worse it gets if not addressed. The bright finish (Northfields) hold up well and develop a nice patina.

Definitely. The brushed and rough finish blades have more pores, tiny little divots, rough areas etc. kind of places for patina and stuff to get into and take effect. Those tiny spaces are harder to clean out to reduce that. The smoother finished blades have much less of that so less patina and action going on to make the spider lines.
It's never hard to pick one out, every day a different knife telepathically communicates to me. Usually I pick it right up and answer the call, or at least consider the call. Then in the pocket they go.

Can't even tell you how much I love that knife. You're right, definitely gets better looking with time. And the action that was sweet when it came has somehow managed to get even better, more fluid smooth, more buttery, and yet still tight and snappy. One of the coolest knives I have, thanks again Amigo. I also love how that big, fat, wide, spatula spear scoops, and spreads, and slices. Really underrated blade shape that is so useful and beautiful. Thanks again bud.

Thanks a lot doglegg, actually I use that more than I post it. I use it almost every day, sits on a shelf in the kitchen and I love using it. Love the big, wide, stout spear blades. Thanks again.
