Well Scott another nice haul for you. I especially like the western lockback 531 (I think ). They are well made. Is that one in good condition? Would you consider a trade? Steve B.

Scott, that Remington (I think) fixed blade on the bottom, are those bone handles? That is a haul of great fixed blades.

Knives and souvenirs from the Black Hills trip. The stag is a Rock Creek, the ring turn is from Sheffield, the Finnish Puuko is unmarked and the Celluloid is a Sta-Sharp (Camillus for Sears in the 30's). The most expensive item was the brass buckle. I don't know why I bought the little rubber car but it was kind of neat and predates me by about 30 years. ____Dave

The wife and I went down to Spirit Lake Iowa yesterday to a big holiday weekend fleamarket. Lots of people there and lots of knives. I picked up a few for not too many bucks.
Prov. Cut. Co. Campmaster for a couple of bucks.
Robeson 833881 cattle knife for $2, this one has been too close to a heat source. Will rehandle it with something decent.
Voos swell end jack for a buck. Missing the front side handle, but the rear is the nice bone these are known for. I have a piece of Angus femur that might work.
Also picked up a couple of whittlers, a Miller Bros. and a OVB that I have posted on the Whittler page. We had a great time there, but a lot of walking!!!

Found these today from a fellow flipper girl who holds them until she sees me!!
Nice looking bunch of knives. I especially like the pre-1980 Buck 110. I have a real weakness for those.

Did a little trip out to B.C. a week ago and picked up a couple of things while in the Rockies.
Browning fixed blade and sheath.
Unmarked dagger.
Uncle Henry Schrade+
Case XX Metal Stamping
All need a little cleaning and oiling and we"ll see what is under the grime.

The "Unmarked Dagger" might be a Sheffield made Fairbarn Sykes dagger.
I have one of those MS Ltd. knives, but a spring's cracked (odd, as normally you'd think it would be cleanly broken), but it seems a common issue with those. They are a beast. Since it's in rough shape, I carry it when I need to work around ropes--and it's one of the few where a sheath is really necessary.

Cody is correct. The dagger is a WWII Fairbairn-Sykes 2nd pattern fighting knife with hand ground blade. It should have the broad arrow stamp on it somewhere (see below for standard locations) along with an inspectors number stamp.

I cannot find any marks on this knife. It is very dirty with rust spots and corrosion etc on the brass handle.
I'm not sure if I really want to attempt to clean this knife too much. Not knowing exactly what I'm doing with it could destroy any value.
I'll likely wait until I have a suggestion or two from someone who can tell me the proper procedure.
