Fellows, I am out of Wharncliffes and having to recycle knives that I have posted previously. My contribution is a pair of knives that I reprofiled because they were broken, and an old Henry Sears that someone just sharpened too much.

Thanks for the encouragement, Q. I recently reread this thread, for the same reason as you. There really have been a lot of outstanding knives posted here. Scrolling through all those fine Wharncliffe Knives is kind of addictive. I do not think that there is another thread on this forum that compels my attention as does this thread.

Nice looking knives with the reprofiled blades, Mel! There's been so many Wharnies posted here in the past 10 months, I would have never remembered if they had been posted before.

Like you guys, I find myself going back through this thread occasionally as well; to see everyone's beautiful knives again and to make sure I don't re-post the same knives. After 10 months of posting every week, it's hard to keep track.

WOW!! Check it out, man....I have one of those little Gerber LST Minis too! Took these photos a few weeks ago and was waiting for the right time to post them.....seems like that time is now Great minds, Squach.....great minds

This is a bit of a variation on a traditional Wharncliffe with the steeper, more linear angle from spine to tip instead of a rounded curve and the very slight upsweep of the sharp edge. I would call it a "modified Wharncliffe"

Gerber labeled them as "modified Wharncliffe blades" on the blister pack. Ever since you infected me with the "Wharncliffe Bug" things like that catch my attention.

How in the world did you manage to get the knife out without destroying that card? The packaging on mine was bullet proof, I had to use a pair of heavy duty shears to open it. Now this is where you tell me that there was a very easy way to open it and I feel like a dummy.

My secret to opening blister packs like this is simply to slice open the thin plastic blister instead of trying to hack through the dense, double thick cardboard card. A slender, pointy Wharncliffe blade like this Civivi Clavi is the perfect tool for this job

Your card looks different. I tried your method but with a spear point knife and it wouldn't pierce the plastic without a great deal of pressure, I didn't want to damage the knife inside. The plastic on this blister isn't very thin. Next time I'll have to try a knife with a finer point.
