Nice Tony. A push dagger is one knife I have never owned. Cold Steel makes great knives.

Another fine Cold Steel product, Tony, and keeping with their usual flair it's huge compared with other push-daggers. I've spent time thinking about this, but have yet to determine a use for these knives, aside from the obvious self-defence purposes, and of course their cool factor. Great focus you're showing with your Cold Steel purchases, buddy.

Thanks Mark ... I am trying to find Japan made CS that don't cost much more than the Taiwan made. Most of the internet pricing is over the top. I have been blessed to find some locally ... and still looking.

Probably Master Tak Fukuta. He made most of those for Marbles.

That’s an elegant looking knife Tony. I like the shape of the handle on that and the way it narrows toward the bolster. Those three birdseye pins are a nice touch.

Thanks Mark ... I like fixed blades with a curved tang/handle toward the heel. Just looks and feels better to me.

Got this one in a collection I just purchased. Have some really nice Japanese knives in this collection. This is one I can’t decide if I am keeping or selling. Believe it was made by Master Hattori for Beretta. Can’t find this specific knife on the Hattori Forum but it is very similar to another one that is on the forum. This has stag handles with full tapered tang construction with a red liner. It’s gorgeous! A Bob Loveless design. Just not sure I have room for another fixed blade in the collection. Decisions, decisions. Will be posting some exceptional Mcusta’s from this collection in the near future. Working my way through the Case knives first.

Mark, I vote you have yet another superb knife to add to your collection! Palm swell and stag with a tapered tang drop point ... awesomely classic. Is the 242 on the tang a serial number or a model/pattern number? And aren't these hard to find?

242 is the serial number. Yes these are hard to find. It’s an excellent knife that’s for sure. You will see one pop up on eBay every blue moon or so. That’s why it’s hard for me to decide whether to keep it or sell it. I am not exaggerating when I say I am running out of room for all the knives I have. Got to exercise more restraint in what I keep. Been keeping way too many from all these collections I keep buying.

That's a beautiful knife, Mark, upon first glance the Hattori/Loveless connection immediately came to mind. Regarding your problem with space to store your knives, wouldn't another display case solve the problem, or is it more complicated than that?

Well Mark it is a little more complicated with all the knives in the store. I just bought 4 new cases and filled them up in no time. Been using Rubbermaid tubs for some and have used all of those. So I’ve got to let more go.
It is going to be a tough choice on this one. It’s going to be tough choice on a lot from this new collection. Got my eye on at least 1/3rd of the knives in this collection. I will be sharing these as I go. Takes awhile to ready knives for listing or for storage. Thanks for the compliment on this one.

I get it, Mark, and I don't envy your position, if I had cases and cases of knives arriving I'm certain I'd want to keep more than I sell. I like the sound of Rubbermaid containers, I'll have to look into those.

I couldn't buy large lots of knives...

I would just end up keeping everything ....

Here are a few that came in the latest collection purchased. Two are Seki Cut made. Seki Cut is a consortium of knife makers in Seki Japan that make knives. The first one has gold lipped pearl and the second one has wooden scales. Nice thumb stud and easy smooth opening and lock up.
The last one is made for Santa Fe Stoneworks. Made in Japan with titanium handles with VG-10 blade. Fossilized and gemstone handles inlayed in the handles. This one has a button lock, which is really sweet. You will probably see these or some of these for sale in my store. Still deciding on what is being kept and what is being sold.
