Oh my Tony. I'm all over those Rough Riders in Tobacco Bone. That's a great group. What's the pattern # on that Doubletake? The picture makes it look smaller than my 4" RR1108.
Just a couple more to go with the Doubletake Trapper. The Peanut is darker but still labeled as Tobacco Bone.
The Small Lady Leg is listed as Amber Bone but it looks like Tobacco Bone.

The rifle shield belonged to a friend of mine. He was only 52, and I struggled when officiating his funeral.
He outbid me at a live auction for this knife.
When going through his personal effects the family found it, and passed it on to me. It started my collection of stag Winchester knives.
I bought the bow tie from this forum’s store.

It's the R1110 double canoe. Closed length is the same as a normal RR canoe, definitely shorter than a full-sized trapper. The smooth tobacco bone is far and away my favorite RR handle material. I also have the sunfish that I picked up shortly after that group shot. I really should update the photo.

I see the difference now.

Beautiful Windsor, great pair, matches enough for me.
Here's a pair of 85 Bullet ends that don't match at all, but in pattern. I like the EZ open cut out myself, but the Rotten Banana looks pretty good.

How about matching trios? Three Colonial Fish Knives, all the same model with different handle options, the black one has a sabre grind so maybe the other two constitute a pair? As found at a local thrift, obviously they all need a bit of TLC.

I love the look of the "Rotten Banana." I've seen it on another thread also.

These pictures are of a Northwoods Presidential red Italian jigged bone (GEC 54 frame) and a GEC 54 large jack (5421 17). Both knives are 4 1/8" closed. The Northwoods has flat bolsters (which I prefer) and 2 blades. The GEC has a single blade with half stop. The bone jigging pattern is different. The red coloring is comparable, especially in the top & bottom views. The smooth hafted part of the bone on the GEC is a brighter red than the jigged part of the handle. The back spring on the Northwoods is a little thicker and the blade spine on the Northwoods primary spear blade at the tang is thicker, but is stepped down 3 times to accommodate the secondary blade.

Here’s mine. The brown celluloid and the silver pair are both Richards while the two little daggers are just a couple of ‘for fun’ knives I got at the swap meet.

'Matching Pairs', as this popular thread shows, can mean many things. Knife types, Styles, sizes, Scale material, metal material, and many other defining categories. One of the popular parings of knife types by knife manufacturing companies, would be the Case knife company's own pairing of their Cheetah knife, with their Cheetah Cub knife. This pairing is right down my ally, as these two knives have become my latest 'favorite carry knives'. Here is a picture of one of my favorite pairs. Thanks for letting me share them with you.

Hey All,
Not in Yet, pair of vintage Imperial USA PROV R. I. Toothpicks picked up off the bay for pretty decent price. How do they look? They look pretty nice to me, especially the black bone one.
