Thanks guys. Yep, that Abe Lincoln is an heirloom. I saved seeds from it, as that plant put out some whoppers. Will definitely grow again next year.
Here's what that Pineapple tomato looked like on the inside., plus a couple of related cherry varieties with some cool coloration.

Hey Mike, missed these pics. Great looking patina and bone on the mini Moose. Great looking heirloom tomatoes. Beautiful pics, keep them coming, we love 'em. That three pound tomato rocks, and makes my mouth waaaaaattter.

Mike - those are some fine photos of the harvest. Those tomato photos make me drool a little! The carrots not so much.

Citrus is getting ripe here along the Gulf Coast. I like these knives for the satsumas because I do not have to worry about messing up the mirror finish.

Dang Mel, that is one fine looking Schrade! Just a classic, love it. Is a Satsuma kinda like a mandarin orange? We can't grow citrus up here in Wisconsin, so my knowledge is limited...

Mike the Satsuma is a small orange that peels easily and tastes great. It has a long history in my area. There is a small city in my county that is named for the fruit, plus roads and schools.

Scott - those shrooms look tasty. I have occasionally harvested and eaten wild mushrooms, but it is pretty rare for me to find some that I am certain I can identity. You are using a heck of a fine knife for the harvesting!

I note the creeping vine in the first two photos. That is an invasive vine that just starting showing up in my area over the past decade or less. I am interested to note that it is in your area also.

Yes sir. I have seen it in the same spot for years. I checked in my local Florida Foraging group and received confirmation.
I did cook and sample one already....

Here are the last of the cherry tomatoes, harvested when I pulled the plants. Letting them ripen up slowly in the basement. Flavor doesn't match the summer picked ones, but I like to utilize as much as I can.

Mike, good idea on saving them and letting them ripen. What's your fall like now? Around here it just turned cool and the heater started coming on about a week ago, I'm afraid the garden is about done.

Dug up the dahlia tubers this morning for winter storage. Will rinse them off well, let them dry for a couple days, then stash then in the basement until spring.
I included a couple pics of what the flowers look like in bloom. The plants got real tall, about 4 feet, I had to stake them to keep them from flopping. This was my first year messing around with dahlias, was pretty impressed with their display and long bloom time.
