Charlie, That's a interesting pattern as well, I don't think I've ever seen one quite like it.
Here's an equal end that's probably the smallest ever made by Ulster. A mere 1 1/2" long, yet walks and talks like the big boys:

Mike, I was wondering if you'd notice that
Charlie, yes, it's mother of pearl. Fit and finish is great, althought the blade does rub a bit on the pile side liner. There's actually only about 1/32" space on either side of the blade, if that, so I'm not gonna mess with it.

Thanks stockman, I'm kinda' fond of them myself. I don't think they're easy to find with that tang stamp, although I know they were made on contract by a N.Y. company.
The subject of that name " cokebottle " recently came up on another forum, and Tony Bose posted that they were first known as " fiddlebacks."

Fran, I was actually talking about your glasses in your picture.
I did know about the fiddleback thing. I have a old Springbrook knife also made by NYK Co. looks very much like your knives.

Here are a couple more no-nonsense Jacks from Empire. Made for the working man, these are no dainty silver fruit knives, although they will help you eat your lunch quite handily!
Weighing in at
- - I mean measuring a hefty 3 7/8" and 4" respectively, they are a handful. If the second one won't cut something, it will certainly beat it into submission
!
