Thanks for posting this. It reminded me of some better times that I really do miss._____Dave

Tom, could you please post the names that go with the initials?
Or lead me to where it's posted.

On the chart Tom posted above, it shows the last post by Johnnie Fain made in 2015. That post would have been made by his widow who continued posting under his name from time to time. Johnnie passed away in 2009 sitting at his computer logged in to AAPK.

I liked the names from the initials to.

I remembered Tom , Tank, and CC BILL more than the others.

I'm late to this thread. Very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. He was always a pleasant person to talk with. I had a lot of respect for him. Condolences to his family and friends.

In the 2021 POS exchange I organized, I never received a box from the person assigned to me.
If you look at the thread for that, you see that an anonymous person sent me a package. That was Jerry, who had already sent a box that year to someone else.
It had a beautiful Case trapper in it. He claimed he never liked the pattern, which is probably true, but it was a very generous knife to send in a POS exchange.

Oh, Man. That is very sad news, indeed.

We never met, but he was a good friend.

I remember making a “Jar Head” comment to him one day that he took extremely well.

We are going to run out of room on the website header.

I'm just seeing this thread due to extenuating circumstances.

I was saddened to see that Jerry passed. He was, and is, one of the GREATS of AAPK. I recall, when I first joined AAPK, I only perused the threads for the first several months. Whenever I saw a post by Jerry, I incorrectly judged him ::dang::  as some old cantankerous dude who gave everyone a hard time. I didn't know how to interpret his character and personality. However, over the months, I realized that; "that's Jerry"...and that's who he is. Over the years, I gained a lot of respect for Jerry, for I discovered how his expertise on AAPK helped hundreds, if not thousands of other members, to learn how to navigate the forums, explain how to do this or that. Jerry was a "every knifers" guru that every member could rely on to guide them. I will miss his posts and his direct commoraderie with everyone...and I mean everyone.

Condolences to his loved ones and friends. May Jerry RIP.

Good Evening

It’s taken me almost 3 weeks to be able to read all of the posts on this thread. I am moved by all of the messages. I love my Dad very much and to see others had so much respect and love for him makes my heart smile. Thank you all for your memories and kind words. He loved AAPK and one of my “tasks on the grizzly list” (per Dad) was to login and let everyone know he passed. I didn’t have to do that because his buddies on this forum care. Thank you all.
