It's not a pocketknife, however it's a Warncliffe. Been my go to knife in my reloading room for decades. It's a 1918 H.M.Co. Mess kit knife that someone modified may years ago. Handier that pockets on a shirt.

Apparently Tuesdays and Thursdays are the new Wednesday...might have to change the name of this thread to "Wharncliffe Week"

QTCut5, for us old geezers, the day of the week get confusing. I thought sure this was Wednesday. Then again, I still thought we were in the 1995 and wrote a check the other day with this date on it.

It's all good, brother

Age catches up to us all eventually and forgetting the day of the week is certainly the least of our worries
I love looking at Wharnies regardless of the day of the week. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, the more Wharncliffes the better, all day every day. For me,
that never gets old!

You know what they say, “It’s Wharncliffe Wednesday somewhere in the world.” Technically, WW won’t break in HI for 5+ more hours yet, but on the East Coast it’s already here! So Ima get the jump on y’all for once and kick off the first Wharnie hump day of August with this’un:
Ashwinearl Custom Wharncliffe Teardrop, Hackberry Root Burl

Here's my poor attemp of a Lansky mod, when he showed some of his mods several years ago, I had seen three identical China Schrades on ebay with no bidders. They were muskrats with a gut hook blade, thought if I could get them cheap I could have some fun trying my hand at what he was doing.I low balled the seller a offer and he took it. I know it doesn't measure up to Lansky's work but I had my fun and it favors a warny to some extent.

I bought this knife more out of curiosity for the bone covers than the blade type . The covers look to be either pressed bone or a jigging Pattern not seen on todays modern knifes .The knife has no tang stamping on the show side as far as I can tell .The pile side tang is stamped Germany .It has nickel silver boasters ,liners .and pins .Happy hump day !

A day late but it's still an ivory Wharncliffe from the man himself, Ivoryman......a Kane Cutlery 3/4 Congress thats 3.375" long with Germany ink etched on the pile side of the main blade.......I think she'll do fine today in my RFP

in a leather slip of course.

Very nice knife, Doglegg. And the photo is fine too!
Once again, the knives offered for Wharncliffe Wednesday are a real show of beautiful craftsmanship and materials.

Joe - I do not know how many of those old MOP whittlers you have, but the three you have posted in this thread are all really great knives.
I know this thread is about Wharncliffe blades, but I especially like the Wharncliffe body knives, which are really the focus of my collecting. The double Wharncliffes, with Wharncliffe blades and Wharncliffe bodies, are my favorites!

I appreciate the comment.
That Wharncliffe pattern is quite elegant and a favorite of mine too.
