Mahalo, Ivoryman, when I first saw the tiny toothpick I thought it had ACSB because the seller's pictures were kind of dark. Even when I realized it had regular jigged amber bone I decided to get it because the color was so nice and I wanted that pattern for my collection anyway. Also, the two-sided shield was unique. This Bear and Son Barlow is hafted so little that you cannot see much of that amber "glow" that surrounds the stagged jigging, but I still enjoy it!
I bought this knife unfinished from the factory. The blades sat a little proud and had no edge at all.
I did not like the crisp edges of the bolsters, so I smoothed them a bit on the sander.
I have already started carrying the knife!

TMK, ... the Teardrop #06L brings back memories of visiting the Queen factory in 2014 ... and it brings a real teardrop to my eye

More of a Crimson color on this Carved Stag Bone. Does that make it CCSB instead of ACSB?

Beautiful Q. They did make a red carved stag bone. They used that a lot on Robeson’s by Queen. I have several in my store.

Thanks, toomk...I used to call this pattern a Coke Bottle until I read a recent thread in which I learned that there's a distinct Coke Bottle pattern that does not have a Copperhead bolster, so that's why I called my S&M a "Copperhead Coke Bottle" although I'm probably the only person who does. Either way, I agree, both are great patterns.

At the risk of derailing my own thread...another slight detour off the ACSB highway and down the scenic RCSB side road landed me on this Robeson/Queen Slimline Trapper that I discovered at SSk Mark's AAPK store (Sharpnshinyknives). I love the crimson hue but it's the CSB that hooked me.

I'm calling this one DASB for Dark Amber Stag Bone which is what Canal Street called their ACSB. Since this knife was made by Eric Albers (ea42) it seems appropriate.

Beautiful! Katz is a company located in Chandler, AZ. I met the owner years ago at a Shot Show in Vegas and bought a knife from him at the booth at the end of the show.

Q that Albers is beautiful. I’ve tried for the last few years to get one of his knives but never can make it through the checkout before it’s taken from my cart, that would be at the top of my list of his knives to get.
