I wish I could post my iphone videos here.
Sarah is walking hundreds of feet in her rolling walker.
She can dress herself, brush her teeth and apply her makeup.
She can feed herself, though eating soup with a spoon is still difficult and messy.
We can leave the house without the aid of the fire department.
She is doing well.

I’m just now seeing all of this, wow! “To God be the glory, great things He hath done”!
Prayers for her continued healing, and for you as well.

I went out the other evening to pick up meds from our pharmacy.
While I was out, Sarah had an urgent need to go to the bathroom, which is upstairs.
When I returned, her walker was in the foyer and she was in the master bathroom.
She had climbed the stairs, walked the length of the hallway, traversed the bedroom and reach the toilet.
When I asked her what she was thinking, she asked if I expected her to wet herself.
She has now done that three times. She does need to touch the walls or some piece of furniture, but she is walking without her rolling walker.

The urge to go to the bathroom is a great motivator. Thank goodness nothing happened to her on her adventure upstairs.
She sounds like she's full of vim and vigor, Charlie!

Just an update.
Sarah had total knee done, an operation that was originally scheduled for June, 2023, but she broke her neck on 18MAY. So, she has come full circle and now that’s finally done, but it has set her back a bit in her physical recovery, wherin, she had been walking some unaided, she’s back to walking with a rolling walker.
We are getting out of the house, she manages the front or basement steps alone and can walk down the sloped sidewalk from the porch to the car without my help.
Still undergoing Physical Therapy for a few more weeks.
She plans to go to Lexington this year and when we leave there, we are going to Gatlingburg for a few days.

As you know PT is almost more important than the operation. Jan's had both knees replaced.

Awesome news, Charlie! What an answer to prayer! Alyson and I have had both of our knees replaced without complications. The physical therapy is extremely important.
Prayers continue.
