I pray that Alyson is feeling stronger and that she KNOWS God's will is being done in her life!
Alyson will be a witness to others to tell of God's love and healing power!

I will continue to remember you both in my daily prayer time.
God is our strength! Only He can give us the peace we need in our daily lives.

In the Holy name of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ we REJOICE!

Alyson and I are on a vacation as she recovers from chemo and awaits radiation therapy in November.
We spent a couple nights in Northern California with my grandson and his family.

We also spent a couple nights near San Diego with a friend from AAPK.

We arrived at my granddaughters house Tuesday evening. It was a good trip and not too stressful.

Just before bedtime my brother called my with the news my dad is ill. The doctor thinks it is either bladder infection or bladder cancer, but thinks it is most likely cancer.

Dad is 92 and my brother thinks the doctors won't do anything if it is cancer. They have prescribed antibiotics in case it is infection.

Please pray for dad and mom. Both are 92 years old and they are believers. 

I was just thinking about you and Alyson this morning on my way to work.
I hope Alyson is getting stronger and feeling VERY positive about her progress with the treatments.

I still pray for you both each day and I will add you Dad to my prayer list.
God has blessed both your Mom and Dad with long lives here on this earth. Praise the Lord for His blessings!

Holy Father, Please be close to Dale's Dad and let the doctors find out the lesser of the diagnoses. Please show your healing power thru Dale's Dad, and us all, in these last days before the return of your Son, Jesus when He will return rule and reign for the thousand year time on earth. Father, we love you and trust your wisdom. Let us find comfort in your words.

Thank you guys for the prayers, they are so appreciated!

I talked to my dad this morning and he's doing better. They have revise there initial diagnosis and believe it's just the kidney disease he has as a result from his diabetes. They have given him antibiotics and he seems to be responding to them and is feeling better this morning.

It's amazing how fast prayer works sometimes isn't it?

Lest everyone think we are not having fun oh, we are having a great time in spite of our health problems and everyone else's.

From right to left is my grandson Kole, his two-year-old, my great grandson and myself. My granddaughter-in-law took this picture as we were walking around the corner to a pawn shop to look for some knives. I did buy three knives if I remember correctly. This is our newest great granddaughter Lilianna, she is even sweeter and more precious than she looks if that is possible!

Dale, continued prayers for Alyson, and you, and your dad and mom: that Our Lord's grace and power and strength will be a constant for each of you.

What can I say of Lilianna? She is exquisite. A great beauty. You must be proud as punch...and deserve to be.

Just catching up on all this Dale. Praise the Lord for all the great things He’s done. And that new baby girl is just precious.

But those last couple of pictures….playing with great grand babies, going to a pawn shop, AND funding a good old Western knife…..well now you’re just showing off. lol

Well, time has come to be pointing the Silverado in a Northerly Direction and begin the journey home. This has been a great trip and the restful time for Alyson and I, though the driving can be stressful sometimes. The worst part was going through Los Angeles last Sunday evening. Alyson was driving like she had twin 50 cals mounted on the hood! I closed my eyes through most of Los Angeles that night!!

Knife hunting on this trip has been exceptional and I will post a separate thread somewhere when I get home with pictures of the trip and some of the knives I found and some interesting people I we met. And I will tell you of the finest knife lovers knife shop I have seen. I've been to knife and gun shows that had fewer knives than this shop and the gentleman who owns the shop is a real knife lover!

I have pics of the store, but they will have to wait until I get time to download and post them.

Thanks guys! It is truly a blessing to have people concerned enough about you that they pray for you everyday.

UPDATE, 20 FEBRUARY, 2022

I realize this is an older topic that had not been posted to for a couple of months, but it seemed a fitting place to put it in an update on how Alyson is doing.
Alyson is doing very well, praise the Lord! There is still a small radiation burn she's dealing with but it's almost healed up. I think it's down to about the size of a quarter now and had been over half the size of a dollar bill. We don't have the final report back from the doctor on the cancer, but he's pretty sure that it's gone. I guess there's actually no such thing as a final report they follow-up every year to check and make sure that it's in remission. We trust the Lord that it's gone! She still hasn't got all of her strength back yet, but that's coming back slowly. Fatigue is a factor at times and a lot of discomfort with her back which probably has to do with the way she had to set when they were doing the radiation therapy.

Those of you who follow the Show Us Your Pets forum know that we used to have four Lhasa Apsos, But the last one passed on just after Alyson was diagnosed with cancer, about a year ago. We have been looking for a Lhasa apso puppy since about 2019, or 2020. It seems we were not able to find any breeders within driving distance and there were very few breeders that raise Lhasa Apsos at all. Last fall We found a breeder in California who had two upcoming letters of Lhasa Apsos. Alyson is feeling restless after being locked down with the mask mandates, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. She feels well enough to go get the puppy down in Northern California and will also get to visit my grandson and great-grandson on the trip and take the family out to dinner! We are looking forward to it.

Thank you all again for your prayers, and your friendship! It has made a great difference for both Alyson and I.
