Pearl is the hardest to photograph for me, even the professionals have a hard time. I just try and keep any shadows off the pearl. I don't own to many pearl knives, here is a serpentine trapper from Tom Overeynder, black lip pearl, domed gold pins

Kris, I personally am not too big on pearl handled knives but that black lip pearl sure is attractive.

Thanks doglegg, pearl is at the bottom of my list also, but I find fiery black lip(and sometimes gold lip) pearl to be quite striking.

Joe, all four of those are really fine knives. But the MOP on that Queen Pen seems to have extraordinary fire!

Beautiful knife, Kris. I do not any black lip pearl: that piece looks like it has a lot of internal structure.

Here are three of my favorites.

Here is one I just re-photographed.A most unusual knife;it is unmarked and has a fiery pearl handle on one side and a black lip pearl handle on the other. I looks a bit like a Schrade lobster that I have. Shot on my bathroom sink with a flash and overhead lighting.Camera is a Canon Power-Shot X100(8MP w/a 10xoptical zoom/40x digital zoom)set on auto Macro. Took two different angles on the black pearl side.

Truly a lovely material pearl is. My theory which I will test during the daytime is that the depth of pearl requires stereoscopic vision to perceive that depth. That's why no matter how good the quality of material and photography one cannot truly capture the depth.
