John, the Ice Age Trail is a 1000 mile hiking trail entirely within the state of Wisconsin that highlights the state's glacial heritage. It winds all around the state, in and out of State forests and public land. The portion of it that I was on today was in the southern unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. ( kettles are large depressions left from melting glacial ice, and moraines are the surrounding hills...)jmh58 wrote:KOOL pics Mike!! Tell me more about that Ice Age sign.. Thanks.. John

I get out there as often as I can John! The section I was on today is about 20 miles from my house. I have other stomping grounds that are closer, but not quite as scenic...or maybe just scenic in a different way. I just enjoy solitude in the outdoors wherever I can find itjmh58 wrote:Thank You Mike.. Sounds really KOOL.. Do you hike there often??
