I would like to have one....if there is enough to go around possibly two, one of each. Thanks for all the hard work the administrators do. AAPK is the best.

I called to check in with GEC yesterday. They were not sure, but did hazard a guess at a couple more weeks. I do apologize that we didn't get these before the close of 2016. I hold the blame for that.

I suspect that GEC's growth (decline in competition as well, maybe), has lead to their lead time being longer than it used to be. I will have to start the order process much earlier in the future.

We will most likely start taking orders late next week. GEC is supposed to firm up our cost estimate here shortly, so we'll know how much to charge by then.

In the meantime, here is a mach-up of the knives... Not a perfect representation, but something at least...

2016 to be stamped on reverse side tang.

The new information is much appreciated, Bryan, and don't even think about apologizing. The very fact that this knife is possible is worth any delay due to GEC's production schedule, and if the jigging in that mock-up is even close to the finished product then I think I'm gonna really like this knife. ::tu::

Cool (and exciting) Bryan. I think I like both of them (but will have to choose one or the other). OH

Help me out, are these lockback knives?
Size equal to a 15, or a 77?
Thanks!

IIRC these are being built on the #74 frame. They are slipjoints, non-locking.

Here is a 2-blade #74 with the same clip and the antique jigged green bone. So, basically, this knife without a spey or a lanyard hole but with lined bolsters plus AAPK shield, etch, and stamps:

The clip blade on our upcoming knife looks to have a greater drop to the clip portion than does the blade on the 2013 # 74. I very much like the blade profile of our AAPK knife.
With all due respect i do not like the blade etch. It is too 'loud' and takes one's focus away from the knife itself. The AAPK shield looks good, identifies the knife and is more subtle than the etch.
This is not a deal breaker for me. I look forward to getting this knife that for me celebrates my first year of being an active AAPK participant.

Hey, if it is not too late and if there are any left, I would love to be on the list for one of these knives.

GEC has pictures of the knives in process. I love the AAPK shield & tang stamp. The jigging, grooved bolster & muskrat clip blade all look good.
