I Like a Rough Rider. Got a few. Here are some Barlows, Congress.
As far as knifes go , most are very good. Especially for the cost.

Are the handles natural bone or is it synthetics?

Hi truck, those do look to be very fine Stock knives. Are they a special release ? do you have the RR pattern # ? I have about 200 RR knives but now i think i should get these great looking Stock knives.

Posted in a different thread, but I like it. Liner-lock mini-Soddy pattern, nice butter-ry/ carmel-ly dyed bone. Good deal new at a gun show, but with no box. Lock is not quite 100%, hoping for a wear-in. Very heavy backspring. It's a razor.

Hi KJ. These are very nice indeed. The Southern Cross model is pattern 1537, and the copper model is pattern 1586. I ordered them both from SMKW. Let me know your opinion when you get them.

Here are 2 truly excellent knives. The Trapper(RR1290) is 4 1/8" and is more heavy duty than the average folder of this size. It is part of Rough Rider's "Outdoorsman Series" identified by the acorn shield on the smooth golden brown bone. This series might well be the best of all the Rough Riders.

This 4 5/8" Rough Rider Gunboat Canoe is simply 'Over the Top', but it is a real knife that can really cut.

The 5 blade Sowbelly as made by Queen and also sold as a "Winchester" and "Moore Maker" has long been a favorite of mine.
This 5 blade Rough Rider Sowbelly seems to be just as nice. Very well made, smooth action x 5 !

Picked up this RR stag handled stockman a couple days ago. Great knife, solid, sturdy, sharp and very nice in fit and finish IMHO. Used it a bunch yesterday and intend to make a worker out of it for awhile, seems to have all I need in a edc knife with very attractive stag handles as a bonus.

That is a great looking Stag RR. I bought a few about 5 or so years ago. As far as i have seen, RR only made these Stag handled knives once so they are now not often seen. Two of mine arrived with the Stag very dry having sizable pin cracks. I applied a thin layer of mineral oil and no new cracks occurred.
These knives are properly hafted too. The Stag is thin like vintage Sheffield knives. The thin handles make for a much more attractive knife and one that feels better in hand. The Fat Stag as seen on knives from 1980's-90's is easier to haft but looks ugly, stupid even.
RR has got high standards. They did proper hafting on these Stag knives.
