Go several years without being able to find a nice Southington and manage to add another nice one in a month. This one is a hefty 3 3/4" ebony dogleg.

Another beauty, John! I really like the ones with nice clear, not worn, tang stamps.

That spring that comes around in the pen well is a real touch of class.
A great working size to boot. This one has been well saved. Thankfully!

As I stated earlier, they stopped making Southingtons in 1905.

They are in pretty good shape as most Ivory seems to be, in my experience anyway.
Something got next to that front cover but that didn't hold me back.
The lousy pictures make it look worse than it is.

This is an old Southington with MARY engraved on the shield. 2 3/4" closed.

You've got a real gem there, Glenn. Very handsome knife. It appears small as in a tuxedo.

As a reminder, Goin's encyclopedia tells us that Southington Cut. Co. was making cutlery for 38 years
from 1867 to 1905. One of my favorite stamps. Thanks for using this thread.
