NICE Bob!! ::nod::
These are the fixed blades I carry. The Benchmade is working out VERY well.
Packed the Gerber 950 for 20yr and was given to me by my Dad.
I use the lanyard on the SAK to wear it as a neck knife.

I think maybe a Bark River Gunny may be in my future. A Christmas present from me to me? Sounding more and more like a plan.

The first picture showing a rather full bellied knife by GEC is really handsome. I have been thinking about one of these for some time. My understanding is that it is quite small, and in stainless steel. Neither option compels me to buy. But those bone handles are just beautiful, and so is the shape of the blade.

They are 1095 carbon and are 7 3/8"
I love them and they have become a kinda favorite to me , they are quality made and on the smaller end and really not what I would consider a handfull but they sure are pretty. ;)

I recently picked this knife up at an auction. The blade is etched with "Coca Cola" but there is no brand marking on the tang to indicate who made it. Anyone have any info?

This one has me baffled :oops: It's not in my add knife book. The odd shape to the pommel is the key to me.

Interesting knife Phil, looks to be well made...like wazu said the pommel could be the key. If the blade is stainless it mite be German, just a guess. The first fixed blade I've seen, it could have been etched for a local bottling company or for the collector market back in the 60's.

Nice to see some GEC's showing up.... ::tu:: ...this my only one, a camel bone.

Shugy -- Did you like the Jet Pilot's Knife?

And what's the S/N on your Gerber MK-1. I did some research on those and there doesn't seem to be any way to date them. I just wanted to see if yours was before or after mine - 087414 -

:shock: Is that what the mystery knife is? seems kinda large for a cockpit knife? the interesting part is it had a wood handle. My gerbers serial #044737 and the sheath has a belt clip onna backside, guess that could work on a boot as well. ::nod::
