All About Pocket Knives

The main blade does have an OK opening snap. The main blade does have an OK closing snap. The four tools ALL open, close, and function as designed. This pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT require cleaning. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Here are two Case Tested knives with 3 springs. A 63038 and 93109, both 3 3/8" closed. The 3 springs are necessary to accommodate the extra-long secondary blades.

Two very impressive knives. And explanation is appreciated.

Not too recently, this advertising and or waiters' pattern or style of pocket knife, arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. It will NOT be added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It will go in my broken pocket knives box. It is in the shape of a champagne(?) bottle and advertises two different brands of champagne(?) It is a HENRY SEARS & SON 1865, two blades, two tools (a cork remover and a foil cutter), two tang stamps, two tool stamps, 3 3/8" closed, milled liners, three springs, advertising and or waiters', pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp (curved or arched style) says, "HENRY SEARS (over) & SON (over) 1865" The cork remover front stamp says, "KORN'S (over) PATENT" The secondary blade back tang stamp (curved or arched style) says, "HENRY SEARS (over) & SON (over) 1865" The foil cutter stamp says, "REGISTERED" Half of the main handle side is missing. The other handle side is 99.999% complete. The two blades are broken. The two tools are intact. Both of the blade stubs have a VERY CRISP half stop, with a NASTY opening and closing snap. Both of the blade stubs are VERY SHARP!!! The cork remover tool has a good half stop, also with a very good opening and closing snap. The foil cutter has no half stop and no opening or closing snap. Overall, this pocket knife is in POOR condition. I just cleaned up the blade tang stamps and the tool stamps. I took some pictures and here it is.

Two of mine I didn’t realize were 3 spring designs

Not too recently, my visit to the post office produced pocket knife. It now becomes my most recent example to be posted under this topic or thread. At the time, it also became the most recent example to be added to my collection. It is a BUCK 703, three blades, one tang stamp, 3 1/4" closed, three springs, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "BUCK (over) 703- (over) U.S.A." Per the BUCK date chart, it is from 1992. The shield is oval shaped and says "BUCK" The main blade does have a SOFT half stop. The main blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have a GOOD closing snap. The secondary blade does have a SOFT half stop. The secondary blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The secondary blade does have a GOOD closing snap. The third blade does have a SOFT half stop. The third blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The third blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.
