All About Pocket Knives

That knife with the golfer is very cool, k7k! You don't see many with the pictures that small.

Here are a few:

1. Passaic Knife Co.
2. U.S. Cutlery Co.
3. Dixon Cutlery Co.

I don't have too many celluloid handled knives but this is my favorite. ULSTER, 3" pen, never used or sharpened. Master blade marked ULSTER/Knife Co./N.Y. and the small blade marked ULSTER/Knife/Co. The handles are irridescent(sp?) and change with the lighting.

Love the "waterfall" handles like yours. Here is a razor with the same type handle material.

No-name knife, looks re-bladed but I bought it (very cheaply) for the handle. Haven't seen this pattern before.

Hey Guys, I just got came across These Picture handled knives at an estate sale. Looking for some advice on them,,,,Piece them out//Sell as a collection//Rare name brands?? I dont know much of anything about "Picture handled knives" other than the ones showing "Military stuff" guys in them are scarce. Any info is greatly appreciated!!!! One of them is a Case Tested XX, I will dig it out and get pics of it by itself,,,Most are Vignos, Canton, Golden Rule, N.C Co, Aerial, A couple Colonials, Etc.

You saved the best for last Roger, I know I'm a little over a year behind. I really like French ivory.

And tortoise shell too Joe,lovely to view.

Here's a 4 1/4" Aerial Cut I have in another of Roger's threads . A large and unique farmers jack that appeared to start outgassing. Notice the darker "Freckling" appearing on the blades. I got scared and had the handles replaced with ebony.

A couple more I really like. A Remington and a Wostenholm. The most colorful I have is an older Ulster, as Ulsters go.

I picked up this L. F. & C. junior cattleman with what appears to be gold swirl celluloid over the weekend.

I would have really gotten into collecting cells , but I had three or four that were made in the 70s that went bad and made me anti social , but I still think the survivors are fabulous.

I always ask the question, "Has anyone seen an example of outgassing on a French ivory"? I have only heard of one case, but have never seen one.

Lyle: Nice roosters as usual. The Remington is a killer for sure, but the Aerial Cutlery you had rehandled with ebony completely changed the looks of that knife. In my opinion, it looks WAY better now.
