All About Pocket Knives

I love this thread & had to contribute something.

This is the first Al Mar knife I bought. It was made by the first maker Al had in Japan before switching to Huhay.
I love Barlows and this is a quazi Barlow, IMO. I love the bend in the bolsters & the beveled edge.

One of my most beautiful knives, a Remington congress swell center whittler with gorgeous pearl and bolsters.

Here is a beautiful knife and bolster for this category. One of a kind William Henry with Snakewood handle and Sterling Silver bolster carved in a Koi Fish. Titanium anodized blue frame and the thumb stud is a Tigers Eye. I bought this several years ago when WH's were more affordable but now their out of my range.

Dimitri - nice to see this thread revived. I do like that Henkels, everything about it; stag, blades, bolsters, is just right.

knife7knut - that Boker bolster with the anchor and swords is especially appealing to me. That may not mean a lot since I hardly ever see a knife that is not appealing to me ...

That was the main reason I got it was the unique bolsters and the unusual red coloring of the polished bone scales. I'll have to take a good flash picture of the whole knife.

I have a two bladed Remington pearl that is much like Gene's whittler (Gunsil). I am lovin' those Remingtons!

Dimitri - like Lyle said haven't seen many bolsters made of pearl - unique addition but do believe I have seen some with celluloid bolsters that K7Knut posted on another thread associated with that Thomaston pen I scored with a celluloid shield...

Anyway - what's the pattern for those pearl bolsters and maker? Looks like ebony scales? I would hate to drop that knife on its end...

No you don`t Lyle, the pin is nickle silver.

Interesting pearl bolster. What knife is it on? Seems to me it would be very difficult to peen the pin tight enough to hold the knife together without cracking or damaging the pearl?
