Thanks! N.Y. Knife Co. used some attractive jigged bone, the cloth is in perfect condition this is the original color, it has never seen any ultra-violet light to fade it out like the other cases I have seen.

These all came with two handles, most are missing one, usually the one with the folding knife blade When they do come up on e-bay they are hard to win, so I know what you are talking about

Nice old set! You don`t see too many marked Boker, if you go back one page you will see a set marked "B. Altman" that was made by Boker.

An interesting feature on these old sets is the German ones often times have two notches at the bottom to secure the tool into the frame, where American sets used a single hook type design.

Lookin' kinda a shabby, but not one i've seen posted yet. Marked Supreme U.S.A. and i'd hazard a guess that it was probably made somewhere in Rhode Island. The case is marked genuine leather and probably looked pretty nice when it was new. I did find the Supreme name listed, but no info.

I have two tool knife sets Utica and Imperial.The case on the Utica is worst for wear.What I like about the Utica it come with a measuring tape( Little Pal 3 Feet )you don't see many sets with tapes.

Unfortunately, only a catalog picture which shows an interesting folding utensil set from "F. Herder" circa WW1.

No name on this pair --- may be Civil War era ?? Any help appreciated .

I would think it dates from sometime before 1900 for sure

Here is the smallest set I have ever seen. It was made by "Richards" in England.

Neat paper, mine came with that also. I can't imagine that these little sets were used much.

The one I have is completely unused, they were sold more as a novelty item, probably marketed to women to keep in their purse

Nice old Camillus camp knife.

Not a tool kit in the same sense as those listed, but a tool kit just the same. WWII Lineman's kit with Camillus four-line stamped TL-29, H. Boker & Co. TL-13A lineman's pliers and CS-34 pouch.

The H. Boker set locks up a little different than other sets
The round Hibbard set is 3 1/8" long x 3/4" diameter
The frame on the "harp" tools acts as a spring

Very nice, first one I have seen with a sharpening stone in it.
