As I completely understand.

Sometimes my wife comes in and looks around at my ...ah, er,...."accumulation"...ands says something similar.....

Here's the specs on the Kiwi:

Due to the choil which effectively lengthens the handle, it fills the hand like no other knife that I know of with these small dimensions. It's a very well designed little knife, that's for sure.

I have one of those (courtesy of Bryan and the AAPK monthly knife drawing) and I do carry it! Incredible knife. It's a big knife in a small package if that makes any sense. I just wish I was better at sharpening the chisel grind.

Longbeachbum, if you go to Emersonknives.com they have a page

that explains the best way to sharpen the chisel grind. I only have two

work days left so I have to double up on my Emerson EDC'S.

LC just posted a custom trapper which fits right in with my post. A few days ago I got a big box of knives in which was the subject knife. I
think I would like to have it customized. So anyone who wishs to join in including Zeke please do. Help me, does it need stag, pearl, ivory for handles ? Should I have it file forked. What should I do in your opinion.
If I seem to be hijacking this post it is with no malice intended cause I want this knife to become my favorite. Its not everyday you get an old winchester just begging for help. Its a five incher closed.

I always think pearl looks good on these type knives with file work. Of course that's just my opinion. Get someone good that can do a vine filework on the liners with a rope type on the backspring and blade. filework the whole thing, IMO.

I agree with HUKK some beautiful pearl scales would look really great on that knife Some file work would be an added bonus too

This is my favorite.... for today.

I shouldn't post this here, for fear of being lynched, but for the last week this has been my favorite knife, solely due to the fact that I can't find it anywhere, and I fear it's been lost. Some of you may recall that I won this on the AAPK knife drawing earlier this year.

I can't imagine that it's really lost. I really think it's just very skillfully misplaced. Anyway, it's a great knife -- probably my favorite tactical design out of all I've ever used.

Benchmade Mini-Skirmish with S30V recurved blade and titanium framelock handle. Best slicer I've ever come across.

just use that knife to cut that rope offin yer neck

Found it!!! Posting here about it must have been good luck. Like absolution for confessing my sins maybe. It's been missing for a week. Finding it felt about as good as getting a new knife. Better even.

longbeachbum - Thanks for the info on the Kiwi - I like the amber bone scales better than the pearls... Congrats on finding your Benchmade!! 'Feels so good!'..

Very nice randall Phil, A old buddy of my dads just gave him his personal Randall, he bought it back in the erly 70's. As a mattor of fact, it is a model 3, really nice old stag, I snap a pic of it when he ain't lookin'.
